Any ideas on how to honor your pets that can not make it to your DW?

Recommended Posts

These are cute ideas!

I am using a picture of our dog, Jez, on FI's wedding day card.

We also included her in some of our engagement pictures, that will be used in different places. I want a way to incorporate Teddy, my dog of 14 years that just passed away, but not sure if I will or not. I am thinking probably not.

I am not sure if anyone already has a thread on this...I apologize if there already is one.  I have two dogs that are me & my FI's life!!!  They obviously can not travel to Mexico with us to be a part of our wedding ceremony and celebration.

Does anyone have any ideas on how pets can be honored at your ceremony and during your trip??  I have been trying to think of a way of incorporating them that make my FI feel better about not having them there.   :-)

Thanks!!!

hi AmyG!

another idea could be to make a wedding slideshow with photos of you , your fiancé and your dogs together. I think it will be more than a sweet idea to share with all your guests,  all those special moments in your life, including your pets.

Hi Brebon21,

I honestly don't know where our brides order theirs (we are the wedding photographers), but you might want to check out this website: http://www.fotoforms.com/products/lifesize_large_size/default.aspx

It's a very cute idea :)

Good luck!!!!

I am definitely looking into some of these ideas!  cheesy.gif

Definitely not the only one :) I purchased a tux for my puggle on ebay and we are going to get a good picture of him in it and likely do the cardboard cut out idea! I just love it.

Here's the pic of my puggle in his tux (taken with my phone so it's not the greatest).

I love this idea!  We have a fur baby that won't be able join us on our big day as well.  I would love to do the life sized cut out idea, but our Mastiff is a big girl (and still growing)...not sure it will fit in our suitcase!  We are using pictures of her to use as our table numbers.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
