Location, location, location!?

Aloha everyone! J Trying to find a great location in Maui for our wedding that will have anywhere between 50 and 70 guests. We thought a private estate (preferably west side) where some of us could stay and also have the wedding (ceremony and reception) might be the way the go. Can anyone suggest any locations that might be suitable? Thanks, S.

I have heard a lot of good things about Olowalu Plantation House. And that it is even more beautiful in person. We are a small group so we are only having our ceremony there. But I have seen pictures of ceremonies and receptions there and they look beautiful.

My sister was married there!! AMAZING! It was such a great time, we still talk about it all the time! Here's a few pics from it.... the place did a great job, I would have loved to have my wedding there but I am from the east coast so a caribbean wedding worked out better for us. I did however use the same booking Planner, photographer, and videographer as my sister. They all offer special rates for destination weddings.

Hope you have an amazing day!

I just got married at Grand Wailea Feb, 2012. It was a dream location for us. It was our first time visiting Maui, and planning everything from a distance was for sure a concern at the beginning. Our wedding coordinator at Grand Wailea made it such a smooth and easy process for us. The staff were very accommodating and attentive, and the ground is not crowded at all which made photo taking a breeze. The location is ideal for us because majority of our guests stayed nearby the location (tons options to choose from), some of them even walked to the event. The food was referred to as "best lobster I had ever have" by most of our guests. I am allergic to alcohol, and the variety of mocktail was incredible. They made all the tropical combinations I could imagine. The sunset was to die for as well. We had our reception outdoor and the 10 O'clock noise bylaw had to be honoured. We were worried about that before, but Maui air somehow took care of the concern. Everyone seem to get up so early to enjoy the sun and the beach, and it was a struggle for us and our guests to stay energetic much later. 10pm shut down was actually perfect, to our surprise. If you are determined to party pass 10pm, I believe you'll be able to with an indoor location.

Here's our wedding video highlight for your reference. Best luck to your hunting of the perfect location.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
