Shower Dress Thoughts?

Recommended Posts

Since we are having a small wedding in the DR, I am having a shower with our whole families and friends on March 3rd at a local country club.  My wedding colors are aqua and coral my shower has somewhat of a beach theme.  I found this dress on Lilly Pulitzer that I sorta love, but I think it may be too casual for my shower.  Especially because it will still be cold here in PA.  My sister said it was too casual, my BM said I should wear it with a cardigan.  I need more opinions.... what do you ladies think?

Cute dress!! You can wear something like that to an afternoon shower.  I am in a predicament I have no idea when my shower is it;s a surprise, but I feel like there's somethings you can wear to an afternoon shower that you can't wear to a night one and vice versa.  Here in NY that's the new thing - night showers. I just ordered two dresses. My mom and MOH said I can be as dressed u as I want since I am the bride. Which also gives me the assumption of it being in the pm.  So confusing =(

I agree that it would be ok for an afternoon shower. Maybe you can wear a cardigan over it and take it off as the day goes. I think if you just dress it up with some nice accessories it will be fine. But I would take the advice of whoever is planning it since they know what the atmosphere will be like.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
