I'm working with Estela as my wedding coordinator. I am finding things to be going well so far. I have reserved DJ Doremixx :). I am still trying to decide on a photographer! We will be getting married on the beach at 4 then a cocktail hour in the gazebo and dinner reception just off the gazebo. Just trying to figure out all the other details now like flowers and centrepieces and decorations. Looking forward to following all the upcoming 2014 GCR and Royal brides !!!!

Hi there!! i'm gettig married at the gran caribe real in april of 2014 and I would LOVE SOME PICTURES!! I am deciding between the locations (we want to do beach wedding barefoot on the beach). We are doing tiffany blue and I want very simple and elegant white and tiffany blue sashes over the arch over us. I would LOVE pictures and any ideas regarding where is a beautiful spot to have the reception or wedding since you have been there! I don't know how many people will actually come; somewhere between 25- 45 because a lot of people are already complaining about all inclusive.  Thank you! Britt :)
I can email you pictures I just got married June 5 th. Email me request berumen@rocketmail.com

See their website, it tells you which rooms have full access to the royal.  The Gran Master 1 Bedroom suite & above gives you access the Royal.  I had access to both hotels when I stayed.  The Royal seems to have more of a mature older crowd.  Gran Caribe seemed to have a younger fun crowd.  Royal is a prettier hotel, the pool is way bigger.  The food at the Gran Caribe was sometimes better than the food at the Royal.  The restaurants at the Royal are better.  You have to make reservations to most of the restaurants before you can eat at them.  Gran Caribe has water slides that adults and children can go on.  They are a lot of fun.  Adults please be careful on the slides though, water you drop in is not that deep, you will get a bit scratched up.  Unfortunately by friend must of landed wrong & busted her knee opened.  She had to be taken to the hospital in the ambulance.  So please be careful.

I got my flowers from Maya Floral.  I got my bouquet, 2 bridesmaids bouquets, 6 large centerpieces, 6 small centerpieces.  Total 845.00.  They charge 20.00 per bag for rose petals. Theres pictures of my reception on instagram under monicazlife.  Maya Floral did a great job.  My guest were really impressed.  marvin@mayafloral.com

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
