Yes, please post your florist's info--I am very interested as well!! The prices for the resort decorating the chapel are ridiculous! All I want are some red roses on the sides of the pews, and some red rose arrangements for the centerpieces at the reception and they are asking for an arm and a leg.  Thanks!!

My final wedding information is due in 19 days and final payment in 24! I'm trying to go through and make a list of the things I left to do. One thing that I found weird is that i have bridesmaids and some family who want to get their hair and make up done. I asked my wedding coordinator if I could make appointments for them through her. She told me they can contact her to make appointments but that if they do that they have to pay upfront. Or they can wait until they get to the resort to make the appointment but at that point it's based on availability. Is it just me or is that kind of strange?

I don't think it's weird that your bridesmaids or relatives want to get there hair and make-up done. As a bridesmaid many times over, we always get our hair and make up done with the bride. I know being a member of a destination wedding bridal party things could be different but all of my bridesmaids and the 2 moms are getting their hair and make-up done. I'm using an outside vendor, Fernado Fuentes, for make-up and then someone he usually works with for hair. I had to give a 50% deposit of the total cost. I left it up to them if they wanted to get one or both services, but they all chose to get both. Anyway, good luck as your day is getting closer and closer! We're at just about the 5 month mark!

I asked my WC if I could make hair appointments through her or the spa and she said the only way to do so is to turn in the entire planning form (excel spreadsheet). Maybe she misunderstood that it was more than just me getting my hair done? It's a little frustrating because I don't plan to turn in that form until I have a final guest count, but I would like to go ahead and make appointments... Did you get a quote for the hair styling? I guessed about $70 - I think that was from the resort's wedding website where you can add things 'a la carte' to kind of build your hypothetical wedding package.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
