Thank you for all of the information! For the Classic Wedding Package it says that a "standard bouquet" is included, but when looking online it says they are $100. Do you have to pay this 100, or no because it is included in the package?  Also, I am having a private reception which is $15 per person. She sent me a menu, however, it is 15 pages long. Does anyone know what I am even aloud to chose from?

If the bouquet is included in your package you don't have to pay for it, that's the a la carte price, if you want to upgrade to a luxury bouquet and only the standard is included in your package you will need to pay full price.  I upgraded my cake and had to pay full price, so I assume all services are the same.

I received a 30 page document when choosing my menu but everything was labeled (Wedding menu, Mexican Wedding, Indian Wedding, Breakfast, etc) so I went to the applicable section and chose from there. For example, my package includes soup, salad, entree and dessert which I chose from the wedding menu based on my package

I have been researching different photographers! Does anyone know of any talented yet reasonably priced photographers that they have used?

I've booked Octavio Montes. @mariposa6102 helped out a lot in helping me find a photographer by making this wonderful comparison spreadsheet with different photographers and price ranges. She's probably still enjoying Cancun right now, but I think she would be willing to share this info. PM me your email and I will send it your way.

That spreadsheet would be so helpful! My email is macyhickman@gmail.com

Thank you so much! I'm finding some photographers are way more expensive than others.

Agreed--the flower thing is made so much harder when it's a DW...not only because it feels like a waste of money when people can't take the flowers with them, but also just getting answers and quotes from people over there!! :( I'm actually in the middle of a tug-a-war with my WC Katia because she decided to be out of the office for like 4 weeks and not answer any emails, so I emailed her supervisor and have been getting a slow trickle of answers from her; to get a quote from the resort florist has been a huge headache.  Katia's supervisor keeps sending these ridiculously big and expensive arrangements when I've already shown her pictures of my centerpieces which are small and could not hold an arrangement that big.  I had initially considered using Maya Floral, but after one exchange from Marvin, he never wrote back to me and that was months ago even after I sent follow up emails--it was super unprofessional so I will not be giving him my business.  I'm still considering just finding a different local florist and getting the flowers dropped off outside to avoid the fee and the all around expensiveness/unresponsiveness of the resort florist.

Hey! I contacted another florist and they're better with communication than Maya Floral. Slightly better prices too! :cheer2:

They are called Floreira Riviera Maya.

                  email: info@floresrivieramaya.com

I am currently in contact with Alina. Mind you, it took awhile for them to get back to me as well.

But when they emailed me back, they just kept answering my questions.

It feels good to get the ball rolling instead of waiting months in between emails :)

Hope they're a good match for you too!
