Should I be concerned its July5, 2013! Also I deal with a guy named Ramiro to do the room blocking and room rates?? confused.gif undecided.gif

I'm not sure if the hotel does the room blocking.  At first, when I asked the resort about room blocking, the WC told me to contact the TA, so that's how I search for TA and contacted TA Wendy.

Is there any Canadian brides that got married at the chapel at GCR? If so, was it considered legal here in Canada? I was told by GCR that the catholic wedding is not recognized by their government and only by the roman catholics, but to find out if a catholic ceremony in Mexico would be legal here in Canada.

As far as I know, the catholic ceremony is considered as symbolic ceremony.  It would not be legal anywhere.  You would have to do the legalization part in Canada or do the legal ceremony in Mexico.

Is anyone having a videographer? I've asked to see examples of the one the resort uses and havne't heard back yet (of course). At first I didnt think I needed one but of course now I'm second guessing that... and doesn't it seem like the perfect way to blow my tax refund?

If so, who are you using and how much are you paying?

I'm using a videographer and we are paying 2800 plus the vendor fee. But we wanted to since some of our family are unable to come down. They said they will help to pay for it so we are hoping we don't have to pay much for that. This amount does not include the vendor fee. We are using Cancun Wedding Videos for our videography. Great communication with Mike Canterell so can't complain.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
