@ meowybells I actually did the patron bottles and got a tag made that says muchas gracias with our wedding date they actually look really neat. I got patron café for the women and silver patron for the men. Come to find out a few women will be prego and a few ppl don't drink..so I was thinking of something else, I thought hand painted maracas but I few those are redundant as well. So I thinking with what people love to do: eat. Starfish cookies  and I'm going to add the sugar sand.

Does this seem like a good idea? I wanted something unique.

So any recommendation from you or any bride who already had their wedding and LOVED their food would be a great help.  Thxoxoxo

YES!! Please post suggestions for food!! We might be able to go down for a food tasting in the fall, but just in case we can't, I'd love to know everyone's favorites and also the ones to avoid!! :)

So I had my wedding back in April. Resort was lovely and very clean. Drinks, activities were all 5*. Food on the other hand was by far the worst iv had at any resort in mexico. Sadly all my guests got sick on multiple occasions and we found ourselves eating across the street at the AMAZING italian restaurant. So when you go there bring lots of immodium and pepto. My wedding went so perfect and couldnt ask for a better day! Flora was my onsite coordinater and she had absolutely everything under control.my guests said the food at the wedding was the best at the resort so far..I on the other had couldnt eat since my stomach had been in knots from the past couple days eating resort food. One tip tho to save some cash do not..I repeat do not buy the lounge furniture they offer for 250. I wanted my wedding to be fun and relaxing and the resort took their crappy old beat up furniture from the lobby. The photo they showed me was beautiful white chairs with blue cusions anda nice table with a candle on it. I was pissed! It was a huge eye sore and no one sat on them. If your thinking about getting upgrades....dont....I myself am so bloody picky and want what I want for my big day and honestly they do better work keeping things simple because when they try to upgrade they make things look a little tacky...so the more simple decorations are much nicer. I had a hair and makeup trial done and it came out perfect the first time but when I went back on my wedding day it came out completely different and I brought the same pictures and everything lol I was ok with this because these girls are so talented! It was beautiful and it didnt move all day/night and it was pretty windy. Well all in all my day was perfect and I know your girls day will be the same! Congrats to you all and hope my info has helped a bit :) if you have facebook my name is kaitlyn mcevoy and iv made my wedding albums public if you would like to see!
Where /what airline did u fly thru to get there. Did the airline give you any hassles with flying w your dress? What did u do w it?

Food: ok so I didn't understand the menu. I also wanted food that matched beach, Mexico theme. Just my view. So I wrote Paty and told her what I wanted. We did a site visit but did not get to taste the food. I was also informed although we where there a week before wedding we still could not taste food but we did get to taste cakes. Our menu: cocktail hour- cheeses, fruit, quesadillas, little tomatoes topped with cheese. Displayed beautifly on the beach. Diner- small salad with fruit & vinegaret. Looked fab! Main- grilled chicken with mango salsa, mashed potatoes, veggies. Topped with coconut shrimp. We loved it and I ate. My husband said he wanted 2nd plate. Lol we both kept saying we could not believe how good food was and the mango salsa was more like sauce that went perfect with chicken, the potatoe where yummy. I told him I have to be the only bride that eats. To be honest during cocktail hour I kept eyeing the little snacks all pretty stuck around a watermelon. I will also say cocktail hour has gotten a lot of flak on here. I was very pleased and loved the food & service. It is worth the $10. I couldn't believe how much food and the servers where great all through the night. Food at buffet: we had originally wanted chicken & mole but worried it might not be good. One night we went to the buffet & they had it. It was so yummy! Let me just say my "husband" hehe and I are not buffet fans & eat out at really good places. I do not think you need worry about food, just tell them what you want & just as wedding decor you will be surprised. In good way. Any more questions please feel free. We leave tomorrow:(

Hi ladies! Have any of you booked/used an outside vendor for photography? If so, who?
I just have to tell... I was so impressed with my photographer from start to finish. He sent emails, PayPal. And we did TTD in a cenote. He had lots good equipment extra staff and I loved having the extra guy "scuba diver" there to help and know if I had problem"drowning" he was in water with me. He said he could give me air or help me up. I wore a huge dress so I was pleased. We won't get our pics for few more weeks but I can't wait. Also the price is fair. Juanphotos.com. Awesome job! Good English too!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
