I'm struggling with trying to figure out whether to use the resort's pricey floral services or just do an outside vendor and pay the fee. For photographer though we are definitely getting an outside one because the reviews are so bad. What about u? Also, I am stumped on how I'm going to decorate the tables at the reception without having to bring breakable/hard to pack things--have u decided any of that yet?

I'm having the same dilemma right now too about décor and flowers.  The resort florist it pricey.  I'm finding so many good, simple DIY centerpieces.  But I'm worried too about traveling with the supplies and having breakage.  Plus, I'm wondering if I should look into taking fake flowers to decorate the centerpieces.  But then, will fake flowers look ok ?????  I found some great simple DIY pieces that only need like 1-2 flowers....and maybe add some petals around the table.  I would only need like a few fresh flowers.  Wondering if I could just but "loose" flowers there.  But what if there's nowhere to get these flowers once I'm there.  I'd hate to go there blindly.  URRGGG.....WHAT TO DO??

Hello Ladies!  So I just received quotes from both GCR and The Royal. But I can't make up my mind! The GCR will be more affordable for my guests but I am really nervous about all of the negative reviews that I have read about the rooms, food, service, and overall grounds. I want my guests to enjoy the resort if they are paying so much and that is why I am leaning toward The Royal. However, is it really right to pick The Royal when the GCR is right next door and cheaper?? I just don't know what to do and its driving me insane.

I would imagine that you shouldn't have a problem locating 'loose' flowers in Cancun. I plan on doing that too....I'm thinking (and hoping) the market will have some great (reasonably priced) finds.....that or a florist near by.  If you've picked your photographer, and their local they might be a good one to ask....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
