Alicia415 Thanks for your advice!! The more and more time I spent on this forum the more I made up my mind. I did get in contact with my TA to move forward with booking before my site visit!! I soooo excited and my gut tells me it's the right decision.

I just finished fighting this same battle! I thought it was per company as well..... Later, I was told that it was per service not per company.  Anyways a few times of going back and forth and they are allowing me to only pay one $350.00 fee for both my videographer and photographer.

I also noticed that the classic catholic package was missing. I asked my coordinator about the menu. She said it's for brides who book after Dec 2012, so I asked if this new menu is available for us as well and am waiting on a response. So I'll probably hear back in about a week! That's her typical response time, on a good week.

I just got assigned my WC to Katie Nunez.  Has anyone have any experience with her?  I will be sending my first longggg list of questions to her soon.  I'm getting nervous and don't want to have anything falls between the cracks.

As for the wedding package changes, when I started studying different types of packages, I have never seen the classic catholic package.  I've been seeing Royal Catholic Package all along and that was a few months ago.

hELLO ornxoxo! Katia is my wedding coordinator, She is usually pretty good at responding the most she has ever taken is about a day. I have also sent her lengthy emails in the past asking a million and one questions and she has been very helpful until now! Hope to have the same luck throughout this experience, we are getting married June 8th, 2013 at the Chapel and I will be visiting in two weeks. I will send updates when I do.

Thanks! and best of luck with the wedding Planning!

Emily not sure if your WC is Elsa (that's who mine is) and she is on vaca until 1/14. I had been waiting for a response from her for about a week now and then just finally called after I never heard back from her and foudn out she's away. They also told me that no one else could rally help me with questions unless they are just general questions not specifically related to my wedding. I think the communication with them (or lack thereof) has been the most stressful thing.

Hello all,

I'm new here, just finished reading 27 pages of the forum. lol. OMG and I'm freaking out.

My fiance and I have finally decided on a date for our wedding and came across Royal Playa del Carmen for our wedding and found this forum by accident and I'm so glad I did. We have not yet have anything plans and we want to get marry in November. Anyone know of how the weather is around this time at the Royal? So far I just started looking for my dress and send out my save the date and looking at invitations. We just found the Royal and definitely plans to have our wedding here if we can book a date (fingers cross).

Emily, if you don't mind, I noticed you are from Boston, I'm also around the area, who do you use as a travel agent to help with our guests travel.

Would you mind telling me your plans (check list) that you have of what to do first so on so forth? OMG. I feels like I'm so behind. lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
