Kaitlyn,

I ordered some things for my welcome bags already because I needed to burn some FSA money before it expires in the new year. I got mini sunscreen bottles, chap sticks and mini first aid kits. The first aid kits are a little weird I guess, but I put way too much in FSA account this year so I figured what the heck... it's a good thing to keep in your suitcase anyway! I plan to add apsirin and tums or something like that.Vitamin C is a great idea and you can get a huge pack of Emergen-C at costco/sams. I think hangover cures are pretty common in welcome bags and I admit to having used them before after weddings! My welcome bags are starting to sound like a mini pharmacy...

I am also going to make little weekend programs with ideas for things to do and any scheduled events, and a little door hanger "Do not disturb... I partied all night at __&__'s wedding". Lastly, we are going to run through the market when we arrive and see what other little goodies we can find for the bags. Maybe some cheap souveniers or something.

What are yall doing for escort/place cards? I saw a few cute ideas online: mini drink umbrellas iwth tags tied to them, or maracas also with tags, or with a name in sharpie.

Anyone else going for the buffet? My WC said you actuallly get some of each item on the list for the buffet menus. My family loves to eat so I definitely want as much food as possible... It's $40 per person, only $10 more than the 3 course meal and you get way more food options. The risk is do you get a lot more food, or just a tiny bit of each choice? Did I mention we are a big food family? :)

hey girls!! I dont think there's anything wrong w/ giving immodium in the gift bags! Your guests might actually be grateful if their tummies don't like some of the food!! haha....my gift bags include advil, benadryl, pepto, chapsticks, first aid kits, playing cards, word searches, headphones, flip flops and snacks :) Also asked the resort if they can provide us w/ water bottles to add to the bags, im sure that will b extra as well smh

NCalvar I actually asked my WC Diana to price out some of the centerpieces I sent her that i would be interested in and the florist there quoted from 40 to 80 which I dont think is bad price, although what we want is really simple. Vases w/ candles floating and surrounding candles. Hope this helps!!

For orders over 1,500 he will take 15% off to help with the outside vendor fee. We are using him for brides bouquet, bridesmaids bouquet, bouts, centerpieces, and ceremony decor to get to the $1500. He said if you just use him for bouquets and bouts he can drop them off with someone in the lobby and you don't have to pay the vendors fee, but he needs to set up centerpieces so you need to pay the fee if you order those.

Kaitlyn I think it's bc all i'm asking for is vases with candles in them lol I wont have any flowers in my centerpieces. If we were having it in the states think we could get each centerpiece done for $20 or less :-/ but we couldnt carry the vases in since we're carrying so much already 4 wedding itself. def try going 4 outside vendor like Emily suggested. Or even ask resort how much they'd charge 4 just the vases and see where you can obtain flowers outside...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
