HAHA, I paid for the Tiffany chairs as well in order to 'reserve them.' I don't know when you are getting married but I just got back and everything was amazing!

Thanks Emily! I was wondering if anyone out there is planning to have a private reception on the beach.  I can't seem to find any pictures online on how they set it up.  I've heard they do a great job but I want to see pics before I put my deposit down.  I emailed the WC for pics but still waiting to hear back.  If anyone has pics, can you please post them?  Thanks!! :)

I did see a few wedding on the beach while we were there. I don't have any pictures unfortunately, but I thought they were set up very nicely. I received my save the dates today! I'll post a picture soon. Still getting all of our addresses together and planning to send them out in the next few weeks!

I have a question about the wedding packages. Looking to do the complimentary wedding package, since we would apply and then have some add ons like the brides bouquet, cake and a private wedding reception.

 

Anyone know how that would work and what the cost would be?? I am trying to figure it out on the website but I don't think certain things are working :-S

 

Also, if we are doing a symbolic ceremony, do you have to pay for an officiant?

 

I hope someone can help clear up things for me...

I just discovered this website and after 20 min I love it! So much great information.

We are looking to plan a wedding at the Royal in Playa del Carmen. I have the same questions as mizpriya. Do we have to pay the $600 for the officiant if we are just doing a symbolic wedding? Also are the wedding packages even worth it. I'm thinking of going with the free wedding package and just doing add ons. Any advice would be great, as I am at the very beginning of my wedding planning and can take any advise!

That's what I was thinking as well clarissalu3.

 

I wanted to go with just the free wedding and then add on as we might have anywhere from 30 to 35 guests coming with us. I'm not sure what the cost difference would be. Like I can skip out on the bouquet (I am planning on using someting else), my FI doesn't want a boutinierre, don't really care too much for a mani-pedi with the resort and I have friends who are makeup artists and hairstylists. The massages would be nice, a cake and a private reception are my main things that we want for the wedding.

 

I really want to get this clarified as I am not really getting much from the website...

Hi I just returned from my wedding 02/14/12 I had a small beach symbolic/religious ceremony and a private reception on the beach too. I have pics up on my face book. I don't know how to post them to the thread or write a review yet. My photographer did an amazing job. let me know if you have any questions.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
