2013 Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Brides

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies! I am getting married at The Suites April 28, 2013. Does anyone have any more info on the beach dinner? Do you really have to have 60 ppl? We will have around 40 but would really prefer that. Thanks!

Hi Becky,

I'm planning on having a beach dinner at the Suites as well, but don't have a whole lot of information.

All the set up and everything is suppose to go through Tai Flora (apparently the resort doesn't do much for the beach receptions).  So I'm waiting for pricing back from Tai Flora on dance floor, chairs, table runners, lights, votives, etc.

The hotel has provided me with the following pricing:

  • Tent - they have said $600 but I need to confirm with Tai Flora as they are the provider.  I have seen photos of a clear tent that looks pretty nice.
  • Slideshow screen and equip = $450
  • Dinner = $55/person plus open bar of $10/person (this includes setting up of tables with beige table cloths with white overlays and chair with chair cover)
  • DJ = $150/hr
  • Dance Floor - again they have said $500 but I need to confirm with Tai Flora as they are the provider.
  • LED Lights - Nicole had said $40 each but then in a later email Tiffany said they would not provide
  • $50 fee if we bring our own paper lanterns and we want them to set up

Hope that helps and if anyone else has any other information it would be helpful to know.  I have 50 adults and 3 babies and they never told me of their requirment to have 60 people.

This is great info! I think maybe it's 60 people max? Im not sure...need to get clarification about that. I spoke with Jodi at Tai Flora and she said they would provide a tent based on the number of people and a dance floor if you would like. I'm thinking of going without the dance floor and just having a bonfire next to the tent to dance in the sand! Do you know if the $55 for dinner is in addition to the $18 for guests > 8? Also, can anyone email me the catamaran trip details/prices and also the menu for appetizers at a cocktail hour? Beckyoldenski@yahoo.com Thanks so much :)

I'd be happy to send the package or contact info to anyone.

I would love the info..Can you please send to me... thank you.

I was super indecisive too! It took me forever just to choose a country. Once we finally chose Jamaica, I wanted to get married in Negril. but both my FI and parents complained about making my guests travel over 2 hours from the airport to get down there. So we decided on the Iberostar over Beaches or Couples because in our opinion the Iberostar is a better resort and LESS of a marriage factory than the other chains. Planning with Iberostar has not been easy because there are many things not included in our package (we're doing the free wedding at the Grand, which is definitely not free). Beaches, Couples, & Riu will have multiple weddings per day and they have set wedding packages designed by Martha Stewart (which is great if you really just want to show up).

However, I would still prefer to get married in Negril. They have many small, intimate resorts in Negril and depending on your guest numbers you could easily rent out the whole resort. Plus they still have wedding coordinators on site to help you plan.

Good luck! (btw we're headed to Negril for our honeymoon after the wedding)

Leah22,

How many weddings does Iberostar have per day?

Thanks,

CokonLove

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
