2013 Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Brides

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a question and I'm hoping I could get an answer :P I just e-mailed Nicole yesterday (Sunday July 22)  about booking a wedding date for December 2013. Does anyone know how long it will take for her to get back to me? Or at least a guess. How long did it take for her to get back to everyone. I am so anxious waiting for her reply. I really really hope my date is still open for me (it would be our 5 year anniversary of being together and would mean the world to me to get married on that day). Thanks everyone and I look forward to getting to know everyone for such an exciting time in my life!!

It took me 8 days to get a response after I requested my date.  After about 5 or 6 days, I started getting a little worried.  I heard that people were having better luck with speedy responses when the Travel Agent is in charge of the correspondence so I asked my TA to contact the hotel and request the date.  Of course that created total confusion, especially when my TA got a response from the Beach instead of the Suites.

Anyway, that got sorted out and they sent me the contract for saving the date.  I signed and sent back immediately.  They were supposed to respond with a confirmation but I am still waiting and it's been 11 days and counting!  huh.gif

Hey everyone!

I'm new to the forum and am so relieved to find that other people are having luck by calling, instead of emailing. The more you know... ANYWAYS... I submitted all of the forms for the date request of September 14th and didn't hear anything for several days. I know that they work on island time down there and specifically did a destination so it would be stress free, so I understand that responses take a little bit of time, but I just wanted some kind of confirmation that they at least received my request and the documents I sent were sufficient. After a few days I emailed again just saying "hey, wanted to make sure you got everything and I don't need to resend anything" and the same day received a response with the contract and confirmation papers to sign. I don't plan on letting this wedding get the best of me, and am hoping to keep it small, but still want to have enough people to offer a group rate (which I can't get a straight answer about either), so maybe 25-30 guests? Reading through all the different threads has definitely answered a lot of my questions, so I think I should be able to stay calm, cool, and collected for at least another few months lol. Hearing that some of you have already sent out Save the Dates for dates further than mine has me a little worried though. Thinking I should get on that... Hmmm... If anyone has any pictures they're open to sharing I'd love to see them! I was hoping to go down there to get a feel of the place between now and the wedding, but who knows between saving and life happening if that will happen.  I would love to get a feel for how things are laid out and what can be done with the space. My email is either herbe@libertytravel.com or danielle_herb@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance!

Now I'm starting to question myself... Am I jumping the gun here? Is it way to early to try and reserve this day at this point? Has anyone else reserved their day that's close to mine (December 2013)? I haven't even started the wedding planning process and I'm already stressing myself out haha. Any help would be appreciated

Hi TrishKurtis,

I was anxious/excited as well when reserving my date.  I ended up phoning to confirm if my date was available and then phoning again to confirm that they received my faxed contract/documentation (I wasn't getting any response via e-mail).  I felt like this sped up the process and calmed me down :)

After reading some reviews stories from other brides on this forum this correspondence seems pretty typical.  That being said, it seems like most brides were beyond happy with the Nicole and/or Tiffany and how attentive they were on their actual wedding day.  They seem super busy!

Congrats on your date being available!! That's great news! :)

TrishKurtis, glad to hear you got your date!! It's definitely not too early to request. I wanted a certain date in November 2013 and when I sent in my initial request about a month ago, it was already taken!! Luckily the next day was open. I was shocked that other people out there were booking over 1.5 years in advance but I guess we're all just really excited :)

Thank you so much everyone!! I already feel so much closer to all of you now then anyone else in my life right now. No one that I've told (even if it has been very little) has been excited for me at all. You all know how excited I am because you are going through the same thing I am. When I told my sister/MOH I booked the day and when we will probably fly out the first thing she said to me was, "You expect me to fly back on Friday the 13th?". I replied with "Well yes I guess everyone will be, is that a problem?" and she said "We'll see when it's closer to the date" so I said "You're kidding right? This has to be a joke." and she said "It's Friday the 13th..." Umm... What?! Are you kidding me. I couldn't believe she said that!!! But anyways I just  wanted to say thanks you everyone for being happy for me and I'm sorry for posting that here I know it should be in the venting section but I just needed the get that off my chest!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
