2013 Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just sent in my request form- March 7th, 2013.

Thats about all the planning for me so far! =)

This may seem like a random question- my fiancé is Jewish and I am Christian. I know they can perform a legal, simple ceremony but does anyone know if the officiant wears a collar or can he just wear a suit??

I know, it's a totally random question but just want to be sure before I sign the contract!!

Thanks! Good luck to you all!!!!

I am sure that you can contact, or get your TA to contact the hotel in regards to this question. I know that there are different priests and ministers, and you should be able to request a civil minister  instead of a priest. But this is for sure something that you should talk to the hotel about if its a make or break question. I know I have seen a few photos from the resort doing a Hindu ceremony so  it seems to me that they would be able to accommodate you.

On a side note! Your wedding will be one day before mine!!!! We requested May 08, 2013!!!

Hope that we get a chance to say hi in Jamaica!! Plus Court is also there in the time frame she is May 4,2013!

So excited!

Congrats and Goodluck!

CourtandMatt,

Thanks it was weird we originally looked at Mexico Iberostar and they required a 25% deposit of which ever package you choose, theres was bait different they had about 5 different packages where at Rose Hall Suites only has 2 Civil or Blessing.

So I was kinda worried that I didn't get the right info when they said no deposit.

Thanks for the info!

I was just married at the Suites in January.  The officiant is a minister.  The person officiating the ceremony is the same regardless of whether you have a legal or symbolic ceremony.  He wears a suit.  No collar as he is not a priest.  The difference is the ceremony script.  The ceremonies can have as much or as little reference to god as would suit your needs.  You can even bring your own script if you prefer.

If you want a particular religious aspect, I would think they can accomodate (aka breaking a glass at the end or mention of certain traditions etc).  However, you should ask.

If you want a priest, rabbi, or other type of officiant that is associated with a particular faith, you would likely have to bring your own from home, or try to find one on the island (which may have vendor fees associated with it).

Hope that helps.

If you want

I will let you know.  I think our TA actually has someone in mind, but we aren't going to start pursuing that until we have a better idea of how many people are coming.

Hi there! I also recently received my confirmation for our April 3rd, 2013 wedding at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites.  (same week and Court and Matt ironically!!)  I haven't done much planning, just the very basics so far as  we have a nine month old baby boy to keep us busy, whom we are bringing with us for the wedding (will be 22 months old by then).  We think there will be around 30ish people, but are waiting til late summer to book the group as my travel agent has advised this for best rates.  We are having one person each stand up with us, my sister and his brother.  I'm thinking Lavender and either white or silver dor the colors.  My sister-in-law is a photographer so luckily we will be using her for the wedding photos.  I'm leaning towards the gourmet restaurant as AC is important to me and I read some not so great reviews about the un-airconditioned areas.  We are getting married on the beach at 4:00pm.  Not sure about a cocktail hour, but leaning towards none...just a small amount of time in between to go back to the room to refresh and regroup.  We are thinking we would like to hire a steel band for a couple hours the night of the wedding as my sister-in-law got married at the Bahia Principe a couple years ago in Jamaica and this was one of the best parts, so I'm hoping this resort's band would be equally great.  I've stayed at the Iberostar Beach (sister resort next store) once a few years back and LOVED it, no complaints other than I gained 7 lbs in a week...over indulgences haha.  I can only imagine the suites will be ever sweeter.  Looking forward to reading about your planning so I can be geared to do the same:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
