2013 Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi Valerie,

You can find details on the wedding package offered at the Suites at http://www.iberostar.com/EN/Montego-Bay-hotels/Iberostar-Rose-Hall-Suites/Weddings.html.  There is also an email address you can use to find out if the date you are interested in is available. I booked at the Beach and used their wedding email address on their site with quick turnaround. It was about 5 days from the time I sent my initial inquiry to the time I had my date booked.

All of the Iberostar resorts are in the same area. The Grand is going to be the most expensive, is adults only, offers more amenities such as butler service, and allows you to have access to the Suites and the Beach. The Suites is the middle option which allows access to the Beach. The Beach will likely be the most economical but does not allow you access to the other two resorts. All resorts have a beachfront area. Hopefully that helps :)

Have you tried calling with a TA?  That is how we got into contact with the WC and whenever we have issues (like more than 24 delay) we contact our TA and she calls the resort.  We always hear back promptly.  If you don't want to work with a TA, I would just continue to call.  I always think you hear back better when you get your voice in there.

Hi Valerie,

I suggest you check with many different travel agents to find the best rates (they will vary).  From what I found the rates tend to be lower if you book super early (a year+ in advance) or super late (4 months in advance).  I locked in my group rates in October for my June Wedding.  Our rates for the Suites are still far cheaper than the current published rates (about $170 per night per person), but I've seen a few promotions for the Grand which were slightly cheaper than our rates (our rate is $230 per person per night).  Also, the promotions vary based on the time of year you book.  My travel agent was able to offer us a free night for every 15 people booked, plus an extra group "appreciation dinner and cocktail hour" at the Grand with day passes waived for our guests who stay at the Suites or Beach (normally the hotel will charge for any sort group dinners and cocktail hours, plus their really strict about day passes).  Plus a room upgrade (but you get a room upgrade with your wedding package anyway).  This is a promotion offered through the RESORT for group bookings (not specifically through the travel agent).  But other travel agents only offered 1 night free for every 20 guests and NO free dinner/cocktail hour.

I was looking into May 2013 next year as well but we haven't officially picked a date yet. Do you mind telling me about how much you got your hotel rates for?? Is it an all-inclusive, flight/hotel rate that they gave you?? Did the travel agency give you a special deal for the bride and groom since you are having 60 guests over??

We are still deciding on the location, then hotel. It all depends on the all-inclusive prices for everyone else, otherwise, not a lot of people can attend.

Thank you,

Val and Duke

Hi ladies,

I've been lurking for awhile and finally joined the forum.  My name is Marissa and my fiance Jared and I are officially booked for April 4, 2013 at the IRHS! We're incredibly excited and I wish it was sooner than 399 days away (who's counting?  Not me...), but we're both teachers so we're sort of confined to summers and school vacations.

We sat down last week and mapped out some of the stuff we definitely want.  We're thinking we're either going to get married on the beach or the lazy river island, we're going to do a cocktail party the day before the wedding to get everyone together, and we DEFINITELY want a bonfire on the beach!

Looking forward to getting to know you all and planning together!

Hello ladies, Im a June 2013 bride at the suites and I was wondering if any of you managed to get any perks, like free room upgrades when so many people booked or free cocktail parties and such. My agent said he wasnt able to negotiate anything but he seems fairly new and hasnt done any weddings at Iberostar before so I wanted to get some feedback on if I should push for extras or not. Thanks!!

See my post above. We are getting a free room upgrade, 1 free person for every 15 people who book, and a free group appreciation dinner (I also considered changing this to a cocktail hour, but I think an extra group dinner will be nice). This was a promotion offered through Iberostar and most travel agents that I contacted offered the same promotion. I contacted 1 or 2 who didn't offer any sort of perks and I chose not to work with them. My travel agency specializes in destination weddings and honeymoons and they frequently work with Iberostar.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
