2013 Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi, All!  Just wanted to send an update: I officially changed my date to May 4, 2013 (hotel rates are much better for my guests that date).  This is my FINAL date change since I signed all the forms with the hotel and travel agent.  Here is my updated information:

Time: 5pm

Hotel: Iberostar Rose Hall Suites

Colors: unknown

Bridal Party:  3 bridesmaids. 3 groomsmen.

Hair & Makeup:  Probably done at hotel salon.

Cocktail Hour: We are thinking of using the lazy river island, having 6 appetizers, and an international open bar.  6-7pm.  We are also thinking we will get one of the bands to play during this.

Reception Type: Private.

Reception Location: We are thinking Aunt Ruby, but not sure if it will be too hot.  I am not fond of the menus at the other restaurants.

Reception Time: 7-10:30pm

Music: DJ

Photographer: Sandy May

Videographer: ??

Officiant:  Stephen Henriques

Travel Coordinator: Ellen Paderson from Smiles and Miles Travel, Inc.

Hi Courtney! Congrats! I am impressed by your planning! You're doing a great job! May I ask you who your WC is? I am planning on booking my WD with IRHS in either May 2013 or February 2014... depending on the availability. Who do I need to contact?  Thank you!

I haven't done a preliminary look.  I completely trust our TA since she just did a wedding there, she highly recommends it, and she is our family friend.  Also, I just had a colleague who was there and highly recommend it as well.  Plus, I love surprises and new experiences so I really wanted it to be all new to me when I get there.

My FI has actually been the one contacting the WCs at the hotel (when our TA hasn't been).  We initially got in contact with the WCs through the TA and then our TA said if we ever have trouble getting ahold of them to contact her immediately.  That may be the reason why we get such quick responses from the hotel.  We have had no trouble getting ahold of them through the phone or email.  If you start having issues, talk to a TA (I highly recommend mine if you are needing someone - see my wedding website: http://CourtneyMara.com/Wedding).  Good luck!!

Hi Courtand Matt,

I was looking into May 2013 next year as well but we haven't officially picked a date yet. Do you mind telling me about how much you got your hotel rates for?? Is it an all-inclusive, flight/hotel rate that they gave you?? Did the travel agency give you a special deal for the bride and groom since you are having 60 guests over??

We are still deciding on the location, then hotel. It all depends on the all-inclusive prices for everyone else, otherwise, not a lot of people can attend.

Thank you,

Val and Duke

You can see the rates on my wedding website: http://CourtneyMara.com/Wedding.  The rates are only hotel (all inclusive hotel rooms).  Airfare is not out yet.  The special deal is I believe one free person per 20 persons (or something like that) plus an upgrade for the bride and groom.  We really wanted this place so we did not focus on the deal.  We have only heard great things about this place and we wanted Jamaica so this is where we are having it.  If you want to know more about why we chose Jamaica - let me know!  Good luck!!

Hi laups113,

I'm just wondering, how do you book the rose hall suites?? and would the food and drinks that will be served during your wedding be included or extra because it is an all-inclusive resort. I understand that flowers and decorations, etc. would be extra but i'm just wondering about the food and drinks.

Also, can anyone explain the differences with Iberostar's "Rose Hall Suites", "Grand Rose Hall" and "Rose Hall Beach"? Are those all different areas of the hotel?? I'm looking into the Rose Hall Suites since there's great reviews and more a la cartes but i still want a beach ceremony.

Thanks for all the help!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
