Carnival Breeze - March 2013

Hello ladies!  I was wondering if any brides are planning to get married on the new Carnival Breeze, which sets sail June 2012.  My fiancé of 4 years and I were planning to get married on the Valor this March but we found out that we are expecting (baby due in June 2012) and had to push our date to 2013 (whoops, lol).  So, now Iâ€m trying to get everything finalized before our little bundle of joy arrives.  Weâ€re now planning on getting married on the Breeze on March 24th.  I would like to hear from other Carnival brides to see how much personalization is allowed as far as décor.  Iâ€ve read conflicting stories in these forums.  Iâ€m Muslim and would like to have a little East Indian décor if possible.

I am getting married on the Carnival Dream on April 28th, 2012. I have asked about decor and if I could 'personalize' what seems to be the Carnival standard of white flowers on white pillars with my wedding colors, even a ribbon around the pillars or something, and I had to email the Wedding Experience coordinator. This is the response I got:

We do not décor onboard because all the lounges are already beautifully decorated and the fact that we do not know the location

until about two weeks before the wedding date.

Carnival will provide a white runner with two white pillars that have white silk ceremony arrangments on top, this is the standard set up onboard.

Annie, what you can do is bring a guest book for your guest to sign & favors. Some past brides have brought personlized napkins to place in the reception location (bar area).

Annie,

Thank you so much.  Congrats on your upcoming nuptials cheers.gif!  That really sucks, I hate those white pillars, lol.  I viewed several carnival weddings on YouTube last night and I had a feeling that, their response would be along those lines.  In the package they sent me it said we could pay for flower upgrades but I guess that's only for the bouquets.  Are all 34 of your guests going on the cruise?  You all are going to have a blast!  Did you do a wedding website?  I'm almost done with mine.  It was a lot of work w/all of the cruise info.

Hi, I am hoping to get married on Carnival Breeze in Spring 2013.. Just waiting to hear back from Carnival about pricing and booking.  Are you getting married in port in Miami? I wanted to do a beach wedding with a reception on the boat but its all so confusing.. Do you have any info or pics of where things would be held on the Breeze? That boat looks amazing I cant wait!

Hi JME! Congrats on you upcoming wedding! I haven't been able to get any pics from Carnival of where the ceremony will be held. As a matter of fact they won't give us the exact location of the wedding until 6 weeks prior to the wedding. The Breeze is going to be awesome and it's so exciting that we're going to be among the first couples to celebrate their ship.

We are getting married aboard the Carnival Breeze February 02, 2013.  We are getting married at Port in Miami. So excited and can not wait....  Just nervous about getting everything planned.  I need to find someone that will come to our hotel room to do hair and makeup. Does anyone know who we could use?  Also,  Does anyone know if they will let you specify which hot and cold H'orderves we want served?  Carnival sent me two lists and said I could choose.  But then I've read other posts that said they give you whatever they want....Thanks Tracy

Hi ladies.  I am getting married on the Breeze in May 2013.  We are not going through Carnival Weddings though.  We are going to have a beach ceremony in Key West, then party on the ship for 6 days! WooHoo! Then we are planning a party back home for everyone that couldn't join us on the cruise. We are currently putting together a flyer with group rates to give to all ov our invitees. The Breeze is going to be a great ship.

Hi Ladies.  We are planning on getting married on the Breeze in May 2013. We are not going through Carnival Weddings, but instead having a beach ceremony while in port. Then we are going to have a party back home to celebrate with everyone that couldn't join us on the cruise. Right now we have 5 cabins, but we are hoping to get 8 booked so that we can get the group amenities.

Congrats everyone! I am looking into being a cruise bride but it's so hard finding information about packages and pricing. I e-mailed the wedding department but I am waiting to hear back. If anyone has information other than what's on the carnival site that would be great. THANKS!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
