My goodness, some of you December brides are so prepared!! (DwBride2Be!!) We are getting married on December 5 at Las Caletas, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and we are staying at the Barcelo PV for the week of the wedding. My then-hubby and I will be staying at Dreams PV for our honeymoon the following week!

Planning is going really well. We have sent STDs and invitations (seperately) and have 16 people booked (including ourselves, I believe. Should I know that number?? huh.gif). We still have to find my groom some clothes and then decide on decorations and flowers, but we'll do that just a few months away from the wedding. I'm glad I found the December 2012 thread...we can be excited together!!

Happy planning December brides!!

Sounds stressful, but just keep in mind that this is the luxury of having a destination wedding . . .no real timelines.  Luckily, you have reserved your date already and sent out your invites, which are the two most important tasks in destination wedding planning if you ask me so good job there!!  Everything after that you are kinda just allowed to go with the flow on! I would prioritize with either "fix'ering up" your dress or finding a new dress at this point, and kinda just go from there!  Our wedding party still doesnt have their outfits even picked out, but I'm in no real rush, lol.  Just remember to have fun with it!! :)

What is everyone doing for DIY projects??

Wow, crazy how soon it really is!  Feels like just yesterday we were at the year mark, lol!

As far as DIY, I've  been Doing SOOOO many projects(some little, some big)  ALL inspired by this forum to save a penny here and there. The list is kinda long so bare with me(lol) i DIYed our logos(ttok forever beacuse i am horrible with computers), message in bottle STDs, passport invites, luggage tags, in the process of working on brochures, all of our OOT bag labels(wedding week survival kit, First Aid kits, playing card labels, welcome folder and letters, Do not disturb signs, etc.), centerpieces, cake toppers, ribbons on ceremony fans, my hair flower, etc.  My next project is painting Mr and Mrs on our parasol for photos, menus, finishing place cards, ceremony programs, etc. As you canxee, I love to DIY-it's my favorite part!  What kind of projects are you working on? Im sure there are sooo many more personalized, penny saver projects that I lefty out!  I want to hear how all of yal''s are going ladies.  I dont have templates- never learned how to save anything to word where it could be edited if that makes any sense :(.  Couldnt figure it out, but i'd be happy to copy / paste text, post pics of what i have, etc. if anyone needs ideas.  Cant wait to hear from all of you December brides.  We're getting sooooooo close!!! Happy planning ladies! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
