so I had to change my date to 12-7-12 because I couldn't get the time I wanted on 12-12.  I was concerned it was going to be too dark and they had another event so I decided to play it safe and change the date.

Since all the musical chairs - I haven't done anything but confirm the time and date.

i haven't even decided on colors,

the guest list, the save the dates...ANYTHING!

wish me luck LOL

Thanks MCree!!

I have finally gotten the information on our reception from the WC at the hotel so now I can make them! I'm hoping to have all the invites out for June so that will be 6 months! A lot of people have already told us if they are going or can't make it so there are just a few that we will be wondering about mostly!

Hi Negritadr,

I''m in the same boat, I won't be purchasing my dress until June and my FI keeps giving me more addresses to send STD"s too! lol. We also decided not to do a group price for several different reasons. I know that the resort I'm getting married at the price that they wanted for group was high and everyone could get a better price if they did their own. There is some threads on here that have pros and cons I think it's really up to you!

I feel like I'm alittle lost too with the planning as there isn't really a "to do list" for just a destination wedding, which is a lot different then planning a at home wedding!

I been looking at dresses but haven't purchase one yet, I'm giving myself until the end of May to actually purchase my dress, I gave my bridesmaids the color theme and told them to just get a dress that color, they won't have the same design. I'm feel exsusted and I haven't even started with the hard stuff.  might be coming here a lot for help and support ladies so please please please help me out.  :)

Hello Fellow Dec Brides,

I am getting married 12/8/12 at  DREAMS CABO San Lucas!!! I haven't sent out my STD or my invites yet.  I am a bit stressed!!  What timeline would you suggest?  At this point, I'm thinking of doing just an electronic STD.  Does anyone know how to do this or where I can purchase this already made?

Thanks a million!

Congrats and happy planning!!! The sun sets pretty early in December so you'll want to consider getting events started earlier in the day. My timeline goes like this . . .ceremony at 4 pm, cocktail hour at 5 and reception following at 6.  Even this is cutting it VERYY close if you want picrures before sunset. Im not sure about the electronic STD, but you may be able to find some info on that if you search the forum.  Good luck!!

EEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Only 143 days for me!!  12/07/12!

Soooo How's everyone's planning going?

I am really feeling Ready!

I did STD's 1 year prior, and my people booked within 3 months of that to get into the group rate, and thank god they did because the rates if they waited and were booking now are about $600 more per person.

I sent Invitations to the confirmed guests, and "maybe's" in May, and they were Passports - I ordered them from Got the Invite, they turned out AMAZING, way better than I could have done, and I got so many comments on them!

I recieved my dress which I had ordered in December - it's amazing, but tight so now I'm dieting until Sept when I have to go for alterations hoping it will be lose and then they can take it in to fit perfectly.  I've gotta start alterations in September to have them done in time for December (or so the seamstress told me).

We bought the Grooms+men's outfits at Le Chateau - grey dress pants and white shirts with purple Chuck Taylors for the boys, and add a vest and green chuck taylors for Josh my groom.  He just needs a tie

Bridesmaids dresses were bought at Davids Bridal, ordered and arrive already.

I've ordered a brooch bouquet which will ship to me in Sept. - nicolasacicero on etsy

I've ordered my cake topper which will be ready in Aug - mudcards on etsy

I bought some rafia fans and am wrapping them with purple ribbon and glueing mini seashells or starfish to them for the chairs during the ceremony.   They are really Cute!   I ordere all that from orientaltrading.com but the shipping was really expensive so I'm not ordering from them again

I bought purple chair sashes because the resort only has white off ebay.

...so what's left for me?

I need to do up some welcome letters or little booklets, I am going to make Love Phrases on nice little cardstock to put on the tables during our dinner.

Programs (I can't decide if I'm gonna do this or not)  I kinda don't think it's needed for the wedding because it's so small.

I need to make my guestbook which is a chalkboard and camera where people write their message to us in chalk, then have their photo taken with the chalkboard so we can turn that into our guestbook.

I need to make the Banner that my two nephew's are going to carry down the Aisle that says Here Comes the Bride (I saw a pic of this and it was so cute I fell in love with it)

I need to get Josh's RING OMG I can't believe I almost forgot about this

I need to get my Lingerie!!  I was at a bridal shower this weekend for my cousin and someone gave her the cutest underwear that said "Tied the Knot" and I loved them!

Write my Vows and get Josh to write his..

I might do a boudoir photo shoot in the fall to give him as a gift..we'll see how I feel when the time comes.

I've got to make hair flowers, and boutonneirs out of some silk cymbidum (green) orchids I had bought.

I need to find my accessories, hairpeice and shoes to go with my dress

Whoa, the what's left seems to grow everytime I look at it..I better get on some of those things!

And..stress is back!

Have a great day ladies, and Summer is gonna FLY BY so basically we only have 3 months left!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
