OOT Bag ideas for a wedding in Mexico

Definitely providing OOT bags for our guests as well.  My big question though is... How do people bring all this stuff to the resort?  Or do you provide it to guests ahead of time?

My plan is to bring it in either a duffle bag that may have to get checked en route to Mexico, but something that can be folded up and brought back in my suitcase on our way home.  Is this how others have done it as well or am I making things too complicated for myself?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I used suitcases and just stacked the ones I didn't need on the way home inside themselves. Truth be told though I had only one extra to stack on the way home because our dirty clothes took up so much room lol

Love this idea -- key/tip holder with spanish essentials on the back! I can see my guests actually trying these out during the day if they are right there on their key holder/

Hello! Where did you find these? Love them so cute! Also, can anyone tell me where you got all the travel essentials for your oot bags like the little Advil and medicines?? Is there a good website?? Thanks!!

Hi @@ANGELA2013

We have a few suggestions for wedding favors:

  • Choose something related to the place you’re getting married at

Have something from the place you’re getting married. One of the things that make the event unique is the location (that’s why you traveled all the way there). So you can honor that by getting something from a local shop. For instance, you could give your guest little tequila bottles, hand painted maracas or some traditional candy.

  • Buy once you arrive to your destination, if possible

You could get some benefits by doing this: you won’t have to worry about packaging and carrying too much luggage, suitcases being lost or forgetting to bring all the stuff.

  • Favors your guests can use

For instance, for a beach wedding a great idea will be to give out colorful flip-flops for the ceremony or something as helpful as a decorated hand fan (your guest will deeply appreciate it). Other great items you can give out for favor are small bags with useful items such as sun block, wipes, lip balm, koozie’s or expandable towels,or even something fun like a set of playing cards.

  • Something you can eat

If you give out something edible it’s more likely that people will appreciate it and you could be reminded for the traditional candies, fritters or delicious snack for late night cravers.

Hope this helps! Here's a picture:

@@victoriasalv and @lornj29  there are a couple of sites that have been mentioned here I think. Also depends whether you're in the US or canada. These are the two that I noted but haven't yet ordered anything from them. You could search in the search bar up top and see if any reviews pop up. I know I've read info but just don't remember when or who by. Sorry that's not much help.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
