I feel the same! so many emotions haha im really stressed too. I think the last couple weeks have gone by so fast! we leave 2 weeks today! i wasn't getting great commuication from the resort either, my travel agent (my aunt) had to email a manager and complain. I'm now with Nekeisha and she's awesome! same day or next day response! love it!

It will all work out :) im having tons of anxiety and i know i shouldnt! it will be beautiful!  we will have to stay in touch, i would love to hear your experience, especially because we are there the same week.

Everytings been good though, really coming together. We definitely went over board on favours, I feel like we are taking so much down! We are only staying the week. What about you? What package did you get?

Can't wait to hear all about your big day!!!

I keep email the WC asking what else I need to do before we go.  She keeps telling me that I can wait till I get down there.  Court- do you recommend anything to get done?  I have selected location, food, photographer, package (but I do want to change flowers).  Let me know if there is anything you can think of.  Best of luck and I can't wait to hear all about your wedding.

I bet your ecited! The count down starts!!!   I complained about the repomse too , for the two weeks after it was good then nothing again! I know i should worry about it but its hard not too!

What kind of favours did you get???     We kept buying and buying so our count is up to 5 but we gave the luggage tags before hand, and are including the table placement cards as favours as well.!!

we are there for two weeks (so leavibng the 6th of february (we have two kids so its our honeymoon too)  We are getting married on the beach with the waves of love package and added the steels drum to walk down the aisle and the fire show at the end! After the reception we plan on partying at one of the bars all night :)

How do you feel with your emotions??? Im not an emotional person (i dont cry orten) but everything with this i hold back tears examples family and friends saying congrats and hugging me BUYING clothes for it , almost anything that has to do with the wedding. What about you? I dont know whats wrong with me !

Chelsea

haha i'm the same way, but i'm a emotional person! I cry over everything to do with wedding stuff lol

It's totally hard not too worry, we've never done this before we need direction! lol that's how I feel anyways. They should give the bride a monthly check list for piece of mind. But I understand at the same time most planning is done right before.

For favours we went a bit over board too, i think! It just seems like a lot to take down but i've heard some brides take way more. but we are doing: welcome letters attached to a drink tumbler, silk fans with personalized ribbon for the ceremony, we are having a welcome party/ icebreaker and giving away prizes (frizbees, waterguns, pool noodles, floaties etc) and at the reception we are giving away blue glowsticks, candy favours that will have their place card attached and then a starfish keychain at the end of the night as a thank you.

How many guests do you have coming? I guess we will see you there :)

I guess my advice would be organize everything else, groom gift, wedding favours, place cards, parent gifts, bridemaids and all that stuff and then your just left with the final decisions right before the wedding. Maybe see if you can pick your entertainment out now too. It seems like your pretty organized. I was a bit last minute on some of it and still waiting for gifts and favours to arrive! ooops! lol

They can send you the bouquet packages from a outside source they use. I can send it to you too. Maybe get those ordered.

One thing I've experienced in the last couple weeks is how much gets done the month before the wedding.

Hi ladies!!

We just got married at the GPLH  on Jan 7/13 (2pm ceremony at the gazebo, 6pm reception at Blue Lagoon).  All I can say is, it was amazing!!!  There were a few details that we hadn't ironed out yet, which prior to the wedding stressed me out a bit, but once you're there, it will all come together!  It's true what they say in Jamaica, NO WORRIES, MON.

My WC was Nekeisha and she was really nice.  We met with her the day after we arrived and she went over all of the details with us in person.

A few things didn't go according to plan (bouquet color was wrong, ribbon color on cake was wrong, the resort lost our group room request form, wedding started 45 min late, officiant did standard vows although we'd advised we had our own written - had to stop him during the ceremony to remind him!).  I am a very particular person but let me tell you, it's not worth stressing about on your wedding day.  I didn't stress and I'm so glad that I didn't!  It was so great, I wouldn't have had it any other way.

You will all have the most fabulous time.  I will post a more detailed review a bit later.  Please feel free to send me any messages if you have Qs!!  Good luck to you upcoming brides, have a great time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
