2013 Grand Palladium Jamaica Brides

Recommended Posts

Hey there happyfamily, congrats on your wedding! I loved your pics. You look absolutely beautiful! I am getting married at the Grand Palladium in April 2014. Loraine Yapp is also our coordinator, overall, how was she? Were there any concerns? Did you make the centrepices yourself? I can't wait to read your review. Take care!

Hi!  We stayed in the honeymoon villa last time we were there and the only shower was outside.  It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.  You just had to shower before it rained! :)

Hi - for anyone who has hired the steel drum band, if you pay for just 1 hour and they play while you walk down the aisle, does the ceremony time count towards the hour? Ie, will that eat up the time they will play after the ceremony?

Thanks!  2 months & counting :)

Hello!

I absolutely love your advice!  Did you rent out a restaurant for the reception?  We visited Grand Palladium a couple of weeks ago and met with a wedding coordinator (Charlene) but she did not tell us about the steel drums or that we could get a private cocktail party on the beach which we would love!  Can you tell us more information about this?  How did you plan your itinerary were you able to talk to someone to find out a schedule of events?

Looking forward to hearing from ya,

Amanda

Hello, we are getting married in January of 2013, we visited this resort a couple of weeks ago and spoke with Charlene, she didn't mention anything about the steel drums or that we could do a private cocktail party for the rehearsal "dinner."

Who do I get in contact for information about this?  Also, for anyone who has gotten married there, is the private reception worth the $45 per person or would a public one suffice?  Where is the mini golf?

Thank you looking forward to your response!!!

My WC told me the ceremony time counts towards the hour, because apparently they may still play in the background...   What is everyone doing for the actual ceremony so it's not 5 minutes long only!  Not sure about the sand ceremony, have someone doing a reading; anyone have any good ideas out there?!

thanks! Sarah

I have been doing some searching of this resort, and have seen some pretty bad reviews about the beach saying that it is man-made and not very smooth. Full of small crushed stones and seaweed and stuff... anyone know what the beaches are really like at this resort?? We love everything about it, but a beautiful beach is definitely on the *must have* list of things we are looking for..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
