Hey ladies,

We are laving in less then 2 weeks to be married and we just got our cost synopsis back. For those of you that hav already gotten married and used the steel drum band, was it worth it? We are trying to cut our cost down a bit and are contemplating having them or not.......did they play for the full hr? Did your guest enjoy them?

Did anyone bring there own IPOD and dock?  I was wondering if we need to have all the music on the IPOD before we get there or do there supply the IPOD and music.  I guess I am a little confused!  Also, we got married already here but nobody really knows.  I am sure a lot of people do this but is the ceremony the same where nobody can tell it isn't actually legal?  I have 40 days until we leave!  So excited!

Hey

Hey! Congrats on the upcoming wedding :) I'm curious - where did you get your flowers in TO? I would love to do the same thing but sure where to go - would you recommend your place? Thanks so much! Cait I'm getting married at GP.JA next year and I was able to get great pricing... $1536 per person, all in for a week - based on double occupancy. Date: May 6, 2013 Time: 4pm Location: Attrium, I think ! Package: Pure Paradise Reception: 6pm - Private reception at the Blue Lagoon So far it's been a breeze. Deposit is in. Picked our restaurant out. Our colours. Our flowers will be done in Toronto and flown over (fake flowers are much cheaper than the resorts silly fresh flower fees). I have many ideas for welcome baskets. Just picking my photographer now. Going to work on a DJ next.... Heard the resort has a good hairstylist and I may do my own makeup. Not sure yet! Would love some ideas for a photographer or a DJ if anyone has them !!

Hi Tanya,

If you look back at past posts, there were a few brides that had there make-up/hair done by the spa and hated it. Others recommend Rashel Edwards, that's who I booked. There are a couple other people if you read through the threads that are recommended. Good Luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
