What day are you arriving?  We are getting married on the beach the day after you!  I do not think the honeymoon villa and the wedding gazebo are on the same side.  We loved the honeymoon villa.  We have stayed there in the past and are staying in the same honeymoon villa has last time.  I will try to find the building # for you.  It was a perfect view of the beach and the beach weddings and pool!

We are getting there Thursday, May 23rd. Yeah I was scared the gazebo would be far away. Thats the only reason why I was leaning towards beach ceremonly but I really love the garrden gazebo, so thats what I booked.  I am getting excited and cant wait!! only 2 more months!!!

We stayed in the bungalow 3052 right in front of the private beach. Don't worry about how close anything is. They have golf carts that pick you up when you dial 0 and ask for the bell desk. They come right to your door if you step outside and take you anywhere. If u need a ride from lobby to your room they will do that too. We didn't walk anywhere. Lol. Your guests can do the same if they are far but if they are close to lobby then they will need to walk of course.

Hi Everyone!

This msg is for an past or present brides, right now we are expecting 75 guests, closer to 80/85 by the time the day is here. Aside from the private dinner which we booked (when we were expecting 40-50 ppl) where else will they accomodate this large number without eating at the buffet? Is it possible to rent out an a la carte at a set price rather then a per person price??

Any info would be helpful, my responses back and forth with the wedding co take a few weeks and i'm really trying to lay out some sort of budget as the costs are rising!

Hey Mel,

So we're also expecting over 80 people in September and we're actually paying $40 ahead for an all vegetarian Indian buffet and open bar at the Blue Lagoon Restaurant. I think they also have menu options to start from around $45 that include meat from other restaurants, ours was cheaper becasue we're having a cocktail hour before hand so removed appetizers and meat from the buffet options. The price was provided to us by the Wedding Manager, Erika, so you may want to contact her directly to negotiate something. We're also planning on using our private dinner the night before with just family and wedding party so that we still get the benefit of it from the wedding package (haven't confirmed this with them yet however). Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
