We plan on using them for our ceremony and were hoping they would play for the whole hr and the whole time except when we are doing our vows of course. I was only going to request a song for when I was walking down the aisle and other then that i was just going to have them play whatever they liked. Did you request all your songs? You say you paid 350? I thought it was $500?

Hello,

Yes i had the steel drums play at the ceremony!     Yes i had music i was supose to bring to be played off the speakers but actually forgot it. My WC actually already had the music downloaded on her phone (thank goodness)!!!              The steel band play 15 minutes before the ceremony, then for our sigining we had choosen a song & when we walked back down the aisle as husband and wife we played another song we had choosen.  We got married January 25,2013 and pd 350.00.       The steel band played whatever songs they played. They were amazing!  I hope this helps

I'm more than happy to anwser as many questions as possible :)

Congrats!

Your day will be amazing!

Hey Ladies,

Does anyone know what the table settings that come with the wedding packages include? I'm trying to plan out my decorations and centerpieces, but it would help to know if I have a color choice of table linens or tableware to coordinate with (assuming they are even included).

I know there is only one centerpiece provided in the package (mine is bliss in bloom) and Tai Flora has been unresponsive (and I hear pricey), so I'm trying to do my own :)

Thanks for helping a sister bride out!

We just returned from an amazing wedding at the Grand Palladium.  We will post a full review soon, but I want to give a shout out to our wedding coordinator Loraine Yapp, our amazing photographer Brian Nejedly, the talented Rashel Edwards for the beautiful make-up.

Wow thanks so much for sharing! You look stunning!  I love your door hanger idea, so cool. Can I ask you - did you do a gift bag for your guests? Also - would it be feasible to try and pre-arrange a shore excursion for the group? Thanks for your help!

Hi Sarah.  Thank you.  It was all so amazing.  We did do gift bags.  I think there was a picture of it...we did a Jute bag and my husband  made a stencil and spay painted it on each bag.  "Jamaica est. 2013"  In the bags we had 22oz insulated travel mugs with straws.  We made a logo label and put it on each one.  We also included a first aide kit, advil, chapstick, hand sanitizer, drink mix.... . We made candles in little tin buckets to put in and added the door hangers and a welcome brochure. The door hangers we made on vista print and google translated them into patois.  I attached the brochure below.  I would say the things most used were the bag, cup and advil.

We did not do any excursions.  We thought of going to Ricks but everyone was so relaxed, it was silly to leave the resort.  We spent most of our time at the pool, so we did have everyone go with us to the beach for the jerk hut one day.  What we did do, is the night before the wedding, we rented the beach for a private cocktail party for two hours.  It was amazing and was only $12 pp.  We drank, listened to our IPOD (we brought a portable dock) and lit off our sky lanterns.  I would totally recommend it.  They set up a lovely bar, had lights on the beach and tall cocktail tables with table clothes.  IT was so beautiful!

If you want to pre-arrange something, you totally can.  Let me know if you need a contact person.  How many people are you having?

Any other questions, just let me know. Happy planning  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
