2013 Grand Palladium Jamaica Brides

Recommended Posts

Hello My Fellow Wedding Planners,

So this pretty much goes out to everyone as I'm struggling with booking my group rate through a Travel Agent for the Grand Palladium and could use some perspective on what others are doing/have done.

I understand that the resort directs you to contact their official booker, Fiesta Hotel Group, but has anyone booked through Vacation Store Miami? Their rates online are cheaper, but I'm not clear if they offer group rates or not.

Also for anyone having larger groups, did you contract directly with the resort (fiesta hotel group) for your group rates or go through a travel agent?

And, last but not least, does anyone have a travel agent that they used and could recommend?

Thanks Everyone!

I have been in contact with both...the hotel and a separate travel agent.  I found an email address for the group booking manager - [email protected] and inquired about the group rates.  Chevonne Palmer is the sales manager and she was able to send me a quote.  She said that my guests would be able to contact her to confirm a booking, but would have to fax/email her a credit card authorization form (with all of their info on it).  I'm not sure how comfortable my guests would be with that option.

I also contacted an agent at my local Liberty Travel, just to see if the quotes were comparable, which they were.  Liberty Travel will handle all of the bookings and payments, and are also able to book airfare.  So this is probably the option that I will go with.

Good luck!

We used funjet which is affiliated with Dream Vacations and Apple Vacations.  We had one contact person, but the company is so small, all the representatives knew of our wedding and were willing to help.  All thier pachages included hotel, air and ground transfers.

Hope that helps.  Good luck with your planning.

Welcome!  Congrats!  We used a travel agent and we have 24 people going so far.  My matron of honor and her hubby might be booking last minute!  My travel agent has made all the contact with the resort for me.  It has been pretty easy so far!  I love my travel agent!  Her name is Rhonda Link @ 314-831-5465 [email protected]  Tell her Nicole and Billy sent you and she will take great care of you! We have used her in the past when we went to Jamaica!

Well you make it pretty much what you want.  Have you been the palladiumweddings.com??  You rented the blue lagoon which means you will first choose a menu which will range $45-65 per person. The resort will only email you this list. Then on the palliumweddings.com-- you just pick and choose what you want. Will you pay for a DJ which is 900$ for 3 hours or 1200 for 4 hours etc etc. You can pay for a show and so on. So the cost 100% depends on how many guests. You can choose to book outside the resort but they charge fees in order to do so.

I'm using the Wright travel agency actually for my coordination. My guest are all over the U.S., not to mention I'm the only one in Texas. Babs is fantastic and gets back to you right away. I would definitely find a travel agent that specializes in destination weddings since you are having a larger group. Your travel agent does all the communication between the resort to find you the best group rates, you are dealing with much more things to add that to your plate too. She even answered other questions for me like airlines and wedding dress accommodations and etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
