no fee since they are the hotels photography. I had a few pics form them and i loved them. Also they go around the resort and take pics. They always ade a point to get some amazing family pics. They are friendly professional and take amazing pics :)

hum, that is confusing. I really thought True Colors is the resort's chosen photographers. I can't imagine you would pay the fee for them. Who told you that? otherwise, that defeats the purpose of using them.  I get married the day before you!?  How's your planning going??!! :)

I have emailed True Colors and they told me I still had to pay the resort fee.  It is hard when you can't pick up the phone and call! lol  Planning seems to be going good!  What day are you getting down there?  We really wanted to get married that Monday but they told me we wouldn't be there long enough be time.  We are getting there Saturday.  We have 24 ppl coming!  I am not doing anything extra really for the wedding. We are having a large reception back home.  My invitations should arrive in the mail today!  I am still needing to make my OOT bags and I would like to do a program.  How are your plans going?

I get there that previous Thursday, May 23rd and staying the following Fri, May 31st. I didn't plan on doing a reception back home cause everyone at first seemed hell bent on going. And now we have spent so much $$ on other stuff that I don't think i can when I get back home.. cause we are moving possibly too. Anyways!!

Its going alright! We are doing 4pm at the Wedding Gazebo with steel drum band. Blue lagoon reception with DJ and possibly that Dance show that starts with a Z. :)  But part of me wants to cancel the reception there so it won't be many of us and have a reception at home. I am using Stacey Clarke for my pictures so I can have a TTD after my wedding sometime. I am not making OOT bags cause my family assured me not to worry bout it. I gave pretty expensive bridesmaids gifts.. and groomsgift. I may make my own programs and a "need to know brochure" (before they leave). I also plan on asking if i can let the Chinese light lanterns at the end of my wedding that I bought.  If I decide not to do the reception, I'm not sure what I'll do. I do know the day after, which is your wedding day :), that I am doing a catamaran Cruise for my guests. It will be fun ..

How are your plans looking?!

Hey Ladies,

For those of you that have gotten married already, what dinner option did you choose? How did you like it?

We just got the menu today and are trying to decide.......

I went with the Italian menu.... it was AMAZING!!!! Best food we ate alllll week. We told our guests ahead of time so they didnt have to waste a night going to the italian restaurant...since there are so many other options. Everyone raved about the food we chose and they were very accommodating... I am a vegetarian and i had 2 other guests who were veggie too.

The presentation and taste was a 10 out of 10. Most of our guests went to the Italian restaurant the next night just to have it again!

I think we chose the best food menu for our wedding... it was classic and still had that formal but fun wedding dinner menu feel.

I would recommend it to anyone looking for the same thing. I have some pictures of the food too..not sure if i uploaded them in my profile but i can add a few later.

Thank you!  I received another email with him breaking everything down a little easier and there is no fee.  Sometimes things get so confusing trying to communicate through email vs phone for this kind of stuff.

Hi Ladies! I'm getting married at the GP on Nov. 9, 2013. I wanted to have my reception at the Blue Lagoon but it is booked so I had to go with the Poseidon.. Can anyone tell me about the Poseidon? Also, I live in NJ and I've read about people shipping their flowers/centerpieces.... When can we do that and has anyone had any problems getting it there safely for the wedding? We're are also planning on bring our own DJ, is there an extra fee to use the resorts speakers?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
