I am getting married May 1st, 2013 at 2pm in the Atrium with our reception in the Blue Lagoon! It's nice to have people getting married at the same place that you can compare ideas with! As of right now, we have 63 people booked and we are thinking we are probably going to end up with 80-100 people attending!

Have any of you thought about your centerpieces? I spoke with my wedding coordinator, Omeshia, who told me that the centerpieces they have to offer are $45 each and they aren't very nice. I am thinking of making my own and bringing it down with me using my bridesmaid bouquets in a vase and some candles and such around! Have any of you seen the real touch flowers from Bloom Bridal in Toronto, Canada? I am thinking of getting mine from there because I have 8 bridesmaids so spending $90+ on their bouquets is just out of the question!

Hey,

we have the waves of love package and found perfect matching center pieces at Pier one we are taking down! :) I think they will look way better! And these match the colours in the blue lagoon aswel!

Hi Ladies,

I've been searching the forums for quite some time now gathering lots of useful info and have finally decided on the Grand Palladium for my Indian wedding in September 2013. Is anyone planning on using a horse for thier wedding? We'll be needing either a horse or motorcycle for the Barrat Dance Procession prior to the ceremony and I'm thinking a horse is probably the more likely option :) I saw someone previously asked about one in the 2012 thread, but haven't seen any replies or info on how to go about renting one. Have also been waiting to hear back from my WC for the past couple weeks, so any info would be appreciated. Thanks Ladies!

I debated a lot about the bridemaid dress colour too, but we went with royal blue! I will add a pic to my profile of the dresses! The girls tried them on at my bachelorette party! And the girls are just going to have parasols instead of flowers, cheaper option and I love the look for a beach wedding! I might get my niece who is a junior bridemaid a bouquet from the resort. I just emailed this week about the price of boutonnieres and corsages from the resort and they are $35 and $40, so I will most defintiely be bringing fake boutonierres from home. That's pretty pricy I think!

I was wondering about royal blue myself. I have decided that I'm bringing fake bridesmaids bouquets.. and my bridesmaids decide on coral for their bridemaids dress... the actual color is called guava.. I'm still in awe of how so many of yall are getting so many people at a destination wedding!....  yikes!

I would love to hear what everyone is doing for photography. I am having such a hard time with this, because the pictures are what stick around forever! I think its worth the money to spend on quality, but I also have to be able to afford it. I personally am not too impressed with True Colors, the resorts contracted photographers. But, I really don't want to pay a vendor fee either, although I saw where a couple of em took that off their price packages to get your business if vendor fees were applied. Has anyone used True Colors yet, I just feel like other photographers pictures looked more professional and higher quality. Anyone know of reasonable photographers or packages?? Please help! :)

I also found that true colors prices were too high, i found a girl named Stacey Clark and she will be doing my pictures in January and also recommended a videographer as well.  Her website looks good, and her prices are much better; she also pays her own vendor fee which is great!!!

I am stressed to the max and now doubting about doing this designation thing!  We do not much done yet for the wedding and we have our trip booked for May 25,2013 to leave!  Time is going by so fast.  We don't have anyone who has booked but yet a lot of people saying they are going to.  The holidays are around the corner and I doubt people will put there down payment down now.  I am not good at being mean or pushy but I did send an email out about the travel agent holding a better price for 2 weeks.  My fiance's feels the same way.  We need to make up our mind about a wedding here or away like ASAP.  I hate making this decision.  We both want to be on a beach but it almost seems easier to have it here.  If we don't have 20 people book than we have to pay for the wedding ourselves in Jamaica.  I want us to make the right decision and not regret it.  AHHHHH.....  sorry just had to vent  :)

Hey My wedding is May 27th, 2013 and I also booked Stacey a week or two ago! I think she is going to be perfect and she pays the $300 resort fee! She seems to get what I was looking for and everyone that has used her seems happy with the results! :) I am with you 100% on this decision!!!

At this rate, it may just be my family.. which is fine, but it is a lady's one day to feel in spot light .. etc and not to mention I really wish more of my close friends could come to share my special day. I almost backed out due to this very reason hon but I'm still having faith some will come through! :)  Best of luck to ya.. cause I feel like I'm hastling my friends- which sux...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
