Hi, I'm not sure whether Riu helps with that but its a good question to ask them.  I had some bridesmaids help me assemble them in my room and we handed them out at our welcome dinner, but if you want them in the rooms when guests arrive it could get tricky.  Hopefully some other brides have experience with this.

After reading this I thought to myself I will have the same problem. This didnt even occur to me that some guest will be on the same flight with us. I was planning on giving them out when guests arrived but now thats not possible!

For the guests that will be with us I will probably check in and get the bags together(or at least theirs) and bring it out to them sometime that day/evening.  We are not really having a welcome dinner since everyone is coming all different days.

We have guests arriving on Friday and on Saturday.  We're going to have a meet and greet on the Saturday around 5pm.  We'll meet in the Main Lobby and have drinks waiting for everyone and we'll pass out the bags.  I have a FB group for my wedding guests to keep them up to date with whats going on. I will send out a message to all guests telling them to meet in the Main Lobby at 5pm.

Any stragglers coming in later, we'll meet separately and give them in the lobby at their arrival!

We just had our wedding at the Riu Palace in Cabo and we had welcome bags for our guests (which they all loved, so it is definitely a good idea).  For the guests that arrived the same time us, we just gave them to them at dinner that night and when we saw them.  The rest of the bags we gave to the front desk with a list of the guests that were to receive them.  Kylene, the WC, acted like this was the first time someone had done this.  Only about half of the guests got their bags.  We had a boat cruise dinner on the Friday before our wedding and told the guests to make sure they got their bag for the reception desk and other people spread the word for us.  We had 65 guests.  It all worked out in the end!

That is so helpful thank you! I will just put them together when I get there then either take them to their rooms or maybe have a bridesmaid delivery them (or my FG just go with her) I have a few guests that are staying off the resort so I didnt plan on getting them one since i had intended for them to be in their rooms?!?! I like the idea of at the welcome dinner just we are too doing a dinner cruise. WHo did you book your cruise through? Transportation down to marina? Schedule of events in welcome bags? THanks for your help!

I am having a send off party for all of the guests that are local to us. There really are only 2 guests that are not local to us. We will be giving tips out and everyones bags out as well. We wanted them to be able to use the custom luggage tags that we made. Our guests are really excited about the send off party and so are we!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
