The most exciting day of my life was getting engaged!!!!! Now it's time to plane the next most exciting day of my life! I am feeling extremely overwhelmed! I have reserved the resort but haven't settled any of the details yet! We are planning on around 70-90 guest and will be holding our ceremony at the gazebo followed by the reception at the smaller private pool! Any and all advice would be excellent! I can't figure out how to post a thread on the main page so I'm hoping to get some responses here :) It also seems that the only post I can find are from years ago? The theme I am going for is tropical colors :) OK girls....I'm counting on you!!!!! Websites, suggestions, anything......

Hey ladies!

Congrats!  I am getting married at Dreams May 25, 2012 so if you have any direct questions you can ask at any time.  As far as rates, I definitely suggest using a TA, they can get a room block and group rates and some additional incentives as well and your guests will still have the flexibility, if they want, to get their own flights or go through the TA as well. TA Teresa has been so patient with me through all my hagging!

TA Teresa on here is great and has a great relationship with the resorts (like we know the GM's wedding department, etc.)  I would def. contact her!

Hi everyone!  I booked my Dreams wedding for November 3, 2012.  We are getting married at the gazebo and then having our reception at the Cascade Terrace.  I am working with Guillermo right now however it looks like there might be a different wedding planner that does the actual details of the wedding?  Who is everyone else working with?  Guillermo has been helpful in sending me all the "extras" however I haven't gotten any pricing for flowers.  Does anyone have any recommendations of which florist they are using?  I appreciate all of your help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
