Morning!

I actually photographed a Cabo wedding in April for a couple from Australia.  They had guests flying from all over the world, including Australia, Bahamas, and NY (ironically).  The wedding was a Dreams Los Cabos and everyone LOVED it.  They actually all flew to LAX and met there.  They partied there for two days and then all flew to Cabo together.  From what I heard, it really added to the experience for everyone.

I have looked into having the wedding at the Dreams resort as well (its incredible), however my guests would have to pay a greater price

difference as oppose to the Riu resorts. So I had to eliminate that idea. However, having everyone met in LAX before hand is a terrific idea, I will look into that. Thanks you :-)

I hear the RIU is fantastic.  Especially because it's closer to town.  It really stunk that Dreams wasn't near and it cost a lot to go to and from town.  That was the only stinky thing about Dreams.

I will look into your vendors that you mentioned, especially the photographer. I want to have amazing pictures during that time.

Thanks again for helping me out. Hope you feel better.

Thanks! I am finally feeling much better. Yes, it probably makes a world of a difference to have a travel agent work with you, so that's great!!   And let me know if you have any other questions/concerns!

Good luck and Congrats to everyone!

Wedding planning is indeed stressful, especially when you're doing a DW since you do not live there. BUT it will all be worth it in the end, so hang in there! And vent when you need to! :)

I think that's a great idea for your guests from Australia. Not sure about your guests from the East Coast though as it might be more costly. I thought about that as well since my family is from Southern California but it would have been more expensive for those of us flying in from the East Coast. So we just looked for flights directly there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
