Happy New Year Everyone!! I hope 2012 will be a great year for all of us!

I was hoping you ladies could help me with a few questions, but here's a little back story:

My finacee and I are considering moving up our wedding date from Nov 2013 to April 2013 due to my recent promotion .  I'm really excited about the change but before we commit to it, I would like to know whether April is considered high tourism season in Dominican Repubic. When we first visited our reosrt choice, Dreams La Romana, it was in August and we loved that the resort wasn't full to capacity. The beach wasn't crowded, the restaurants were almost always empty, and we could always get a lounge chair by the pool.

    So my questions are:

Is April is a popular month for travel in DR?

For all the future April brides, are you concerned about this?

For all the brides that married during the "high season", did the "high traffic" create any problems for you and your guest?

    Thanks in advance!

My MOH got married at the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana last May. While it was busy, it wasn't too bad. We didn't have to wait for restaurants, always found a good spot at the pool or beach. I heard that from Spring Break - Easter is fairly busy.

        Thanks Emives!

I'm thinking about calling or emailing the resort to inquire about their avg occupancy in April. Hoping someone responds, we shall see.
