Thanks for all the responses...I can't wait to get more involved. We've spent the past couple of days researching many different resorts and are feeling a little overwhelmed, but we hope to make some definite headway this week.

 

For Jen & Brendan I actually grew up in Glendale, Queens until I was 10 then moved to Port Washington where my parents still live...small world.

Congratulations on your engagement!

 

We will be getting married at Couples Ocho Rios on April 19, 2008. It really depends on how many guests you'll have. Whether you will have any kids in the party or not. If there will be kids, consider Riu or Beaches. If there will be no kids, try to look into Sandals or Couples. We chose Couples because it is more afforable than Sandals, we can customize our package more, and all the excursions are included as well.

Congratulations and welcome!! We're also getting married in Jamaica :) We have a small group and are getting married at a small AI about 10 miles from Negril - Coral Cove Resort in Little Bay. The resort has 13 rooms total, so its a little more quaint and personal. The larger resorts are great if you have a big group, but check it out if you're considering a smaller party. We have been very happy with everyone at the resort so far!

 

Let us know what you're planning and how we can help! A lot of us are headed for Jamaica on here :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
