We have booked Katya for our Dominican wedding in April at Dreams Punta Cana. She has captured a few of my friends weddings and my girl friends and I had boudoir photos taken for my friends stagette. She is amazing and I highly recommend contacting her if you are getting married in the Dominican!!

I just ordered my "save the date" postcards on Vistaprint too. I don't have a theme or colours (yet) so I just went with a "tropical" themed postcard, and website for now - figured that will work. They have some really pretty backgrounds and themes to choose from on there. Since we don't have an exact location or date, we just put basics on the front, some further details/explanation of our plans on the back, and then directed them to our wedding website to check in for further info. Obviously those who don't have internet access (like my gramma) we will keep in touch via phone and in person for updates.

 

Here is the front design I did...they have many to choose from. It's certainly not formal, but I think that for the price (30 bucks for 100 in colour, front and back) they are pretty decent looking. Plus they aren't actually invitations, so I didn't want to spend a fortune.

The only advice I can give is this...

 

Once you decide on your venue, call the hotel and ask if a) you are allowed an outside photographer (I have heard of some places not allowing it) and B) how much it costs.

Some of your wedding packages will include a few pictures depending on what you pick and depending on where you go.

 

Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana includes some pictures in their wedding packages.

Their onsite photography is Arrecife - they have a few locations at a few hotels and I love their work :)  They also do TTD sessions.

This particular hotel charges $500 I believe for an outside photographer.  I think the package I chose was 30-something pictures for about $300ish dollars.

 

I had no issues with their work - they are pros at wedding photos, so they tell you exactly what to do and they are so familiar with the location that they know all the great spots to take you!

Can you please copy and paste a pic of the magnet STD's? I dont have permissions yet to download and would love to see them. We are also doing STD magnets. THanks =)

I went and got sheets of magnets that you run through your printer at home (they are label size) and trusty old Microsoft Word had a template for the magnets and I used that...

Don't mind the horrible cut on the top of this magnet lol.

This was one of the rejects!

I cut them all with one of those slicing blades you use to cut stacks of paper...

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
