Even MORE FRUSTRATING is that JetBlue just posted a great Carribbean sale for 2 days ONLY but PUNTA CANA is NOT included in the sale????!!!!! La Romana, Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata, but not Punta Cana....evil.gifevil.gifevil.gif

Me and my mom have been calling JetBlue ALL DAY trying to get some understanding. thatswck.gif  I'll update you ladies if there's any good news

My cousin just got married there in November (at the Royal). It was absolutely beautiful and we had a BLAST!!! U must eat at the Asian restaurant and, if you are a drinker, have the beautiful rainbow colored drink (the name escapes me right now) it's absolutely delightful!! And the staff there, for the most part, are absolutely fabulous. And if you speak a little Spanish it will serve you well.

FYI!!!!!

I heard there is a new road opening from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana that will cut the drive time to 2 hours. Just throwing that out there because flights are cheaper to Santo Domingo (most of the time). I'm just trying to find out now how much those big tourist air conditioned buses cost pp! = / SUPER FRUSTRATING!!!!

I've heard great things about the Royal, and love to hear perspectives from people who were guests. I've heard the Asian restaurant is really good, just hoping we have time to sample a little of everything. I keep hearing from brides that the week turns into a whirlwind so I'm hoping to remind myself to just slow down while I'm there, lol!

I CANNOT believe how time is flying!!!! I'm soooo ready, but NOT at the same time....wacko.gif

It has caused me to actually SIT DOWN and complete some projects. And broke down and booked flight.... connecting (BOOOOO!). But it ended up costing $900 for both of us and we're flying out of our local/regional airport only 20 minutes from home, as opposed to an hour.

I just couldn't even stand to look at JetBlue anymore, especially with gas prices going back up...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
