Hey guys, 

Anyone else planning their wedding at Ceiba del Mar in 2012? I did a site visit there, and to Le Reve, Azul Fives, The Fairmont, The Tides and La Amada. I absolutely fell in love with Ceiba. Let me know if anyone else is in the process of planning. I'd love to know what you're planning!

Congratulations Tiff... Ceiba del Mar is a fantastic location for a wedding. So romantic and intimate! Great choice.

Read the press release on Ceiba's Facebook page - it says their concept is changing.  If you go on Desire's website, there is a press release indicating they are taking over Ceiba in March 2012.  This is heartbreaking!  We were married there in April 2011, and it was amazing.  I am so saddened by this news!  Good luck to you ladies!  Check out Le Reve, Beloved (formerly La Amada), and the Azul properties as alternatives.

Welcome!

Make sure you check out the following thread: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/56614/any-ceiba-del-mar-brides/200#post_1717198 where they do discuss the changing concept issue at length.  It seems many brides are very disappointed and many have opted out of the new "clothing-optional" concept resort.  Do make sure you get all the info from your wedding planner!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
