MauiBrideToBe,

This place looks awesome. If you don't mind my asking, how much was the event rental fee? What is the max # of guests allowed?Do you need to stay there to book an event there?

We booked a venue, and its beautiful, but our wedding planner failed to mention some important details to us regarding the venue. Now, we have alot less space than we planned on.  We are VERY unhappy and thinking about switching.

Thanks!

Hi jeanniemarieaz!  Our wedding has come and gone now :( but we had an amazing time, and the venue was AWESOME!!!!  I'm sorry to hear that you're having a difficult time with your coordinator/venue option and trust me when I say that it can be extremely stressfull, but it will all be soooo worth it!

Who is your WC?  I just know that only some of the Maui WCs are familiar with this property... and it is a smaller venue, which worked out great for us as we had 35 guests.  It fit our group very comfortably, and I believe they stated that their allowance is up to 40 wedding guests.  18 of us also stayed at that preoperty so we got a really good feel for the place!  Pics don't even do it justice to be honest with you!

And the event fee we paid was $500, I'm not sure if we got this rate because we also booked the house as our accommodation or what the going event fee is now, but also keep in mind that there is a cleaning fee- I think a couple hundred dollars.

How many guests are you expecting?  When is your wedding??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
