ANYWAY - With 3 weeks to go - I was wondering what you guys have on your todo lists? I don't want to forget anything - and so I figured if some of you could share those last minute to dos - then we can all be sure we aren't missing anything.

 For me -

  • I picked up kids gifts for their min oot bags,
  • Practice first kiss (they say this is important)
  • practice first dance
  • Need to buy new suitcase (mine broke last week)
  • finish downloading all music
  • buy sexy underwear for night of wedding
  • pack oot bag boxes and own luggagge
  • wrap bm and gm gifts
  • Finish welcome book - update and finalize agenda
  • Crafts to finish escort cards, door hangers
  • Book Car to take us to the airport (taxi or towncar for group)
  • Take Ring in for cleaning before we leave
  • Oh yah... write vows
  • Write Bride and Groom thank you speech

 

Yikes, McLecker... hope the family situation gets sorted out okay!

 

The only things we have in addition to yours above are:

 

  • finalize menus for Thanksgiving night dinner and reception dinner
  • find out the table set up for reception dinner so I can do seating arrangements and decor
  • buy unsexy but appropriate :-) under-wear for certain outfits
  • confirm contracts with vendors and pay balances
  • create a registry (we weren't going to do this due to asking fam/friends to make this big trip, but we've been convinced otherwise...)
  • make a detailed master schedule for our four days of events
  • plan the honeymoon (a-hem, so late on this)
  • make a guestbook of sorts
  • think of favors (leaning towards a Mexican sweet? ideas welcome...)
  • assign point people (for tours and activities/formal photos/cocktail hour, etc.)

Sunday, September 11

 

11:15                    Kristen, Yoko, Jackie and Sarah bring dress and anything else need to get ready to Kristen’s room or Suite before going to the spa

 

11:30                    Jana and Bridesmaid eat lunch

 

12:00                    Chris and Groomsmen eat lunch

 

12:30                    Jana, Kristen & Yoko go to spa to get hair and makeup done

 

12:30                    Katie goes to spa to take some getting ready photos of the women

 

 

1:30                       Chris and groomsmen arrive to Evan and Aaron’s room to put on wedding attire (already showered and ready to go)

 

1:30                       Jackie & Sarah go to spa to get hair done (come earlier if not doing anything)

 

1:45                       Katie leaves spa and heads to meet Chris and the groomsmen for photos

 

2:00-2:30            Katie takes photos of Chris and the groomsmen (individual and group)

 

2:30-3:15            Chris and the guys hang out

 

2:30                       Jana and bridesmaids head back to (Suite or Kristen’s room) to finish getting ready

 

2:40                       Katie come to take getting ready photos of the women

 

2:45                       Bridesmaids get dressed

 

3:00                       Jana put her dress on

 

3:00                       Flowers are distributed to Jana, Bridesmaid, Nancy and Joan in Suite

 

3:00                       Jody & Merry tie lanterns on chairs at ceremony site

 

3:15-3:30???      Katie takes photos of Jana and the bridesmaids (individual and group)

To those of you having your formal pix taken during the cocktail hour, did your photographer say anything about the lighting at that time?

Our ceremony is from 4:30-5 so my photog says b/c of sundown at 5pm, he thinks we should take the formal pix before the ceremony. Thoughts?

I haven't met with my photographer yet for our final meeting..but I'm sure she'll say something along those lines- that is why we are going to tyry and get most of pics done before the wedding and hopefully have everything done by 5 and then just do sunset pics after that

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
