November 2012 Brides?

I believe you can as long as you let them know beforehand.  I plan on doing that- I'm a Sun Palace bride.

I am unsure of the events though- I haven't asked my WC as I haven't even thought about doing my programs yet!

I am skipping the programs...executive decision as unnecessary. I know, I'm a rebel!

We received our confirmation today that we are PAID IN FULL. Let's have a wedding!!!!!!!!

Same executive decision here!

BTW Vistaprint is having a great deal on Groupon: $17 for $70 worth - we ordered the thank you cards for the local event we had, as well as 1 part of our favors (we're writing a cute note to describe one of the favors, that's gonna be attached to each favor and used the Vistaprint "business cards" to create it... super cheap idea btw since you get 250 cards for like 10 bucks or so and its under $10 bucks to add a fancier card stock or a series of other customizations).

I have a feeling I'll be doing the same, haha!

Tomorrow is 1 month from the big day and I still have so much to do!! Bad idea to buy a house and move in a month and a half before our wedding, lol.

I'm getting peppered with final questions from our WC. We still have 3 guests we aren't sure about too.

We leave in 9 days...and get married 2 weeks from today. so I 100% agree with your HOLY S!#T comment lol

We've been in contact w/our WC since 2 months before the big day, but it's been a week since her last response and I've already sent follow-up questions, kinda annoying!

We also have a few people that are undecided, or undecided about their kids....but if you order extra favors, a few extra plates of food, and hold off on seating arrangements until closer to the day, it should be OK

Annoying- I don't get how people can be undecided about a trip to Mexico or any other country less than a month before they leave.. I could never do that, lol.

I've yet to hear from my on-site coordinator...as long as I have a meeting set up with her before I leave, I am fine.  I'm not going to worry too much.

you aren't kidding!!!

Steve's dad is now apparently going - money issue. Noooo he hasn't had more than a year to save up or anything. he's such an ass!!

The other person is a notorious "last minute lady" - a friend of his mother's. apparently has enough money and doesn't worry about planning.

We aren't paying for anything extra, we can't get a refund for it. So I haven't paid for their meals and such... and didn't put together bags for them. If they can't be bothered to plan, neither can I.

His own father is bailing last minute?!? That's absurd! I'm sorry!!

That's a good mindset- that's how I feel about everyone that isn't coming- I invited you- it was your choice not to come, so too bad so sad!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
