My Dad picked the song for our first dance: Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. My best friend just got married and danced to You raise me up by Josh Groban and it was a tear jerker.....

Hope that helps! 2 months today EXACTLY until we leave .... anxiety creeping up....

If it makes any of you all feel better, we just got back from FIVE back-to-back wedding (weekends), two internationally! So the only thing I've accomplished in the last month is regaining a bit of my sanity (priceless, of course). I'm happy to report that the *best* weddings seem to be comprised of: excellent attitudes + awesome friends & fam. Great music for the party part doesn't hurt :-).

Of course, ask me again when I hit my two-month mark (in a few days) and I most likely will be freaking out.

2 months is the official freak out point I think. and you guys have extra stuff on your plates with shows and buying a house!! I don't envy either of you.

I will warn you that when you hit the 6 week point, that's when the panic really sets in...(sorry!!!). So enjoy merely "freaking out" for the next two weeks ladies! lol My calendar is full of appointments - bridal shower, pick up my dress, get the ring redipped (white gold), two hair appointments, dentist appointment, and likely two trips to the courthouse in there somewhere too. I'm fighting that overwhelmed feeling. it'll all work out...I have no doubt about that.

ok freak out over. time to tackle this list!

I had a mini freak out moment a few days ago after my first bridal shower- like holy crap I'm almost at the 2 month mark and I have a list of things I still need to do- plus we are closing on our house on Oct 12, so the whole month of Oct will be consumed with moving and house stuff...ahhhh!!! Crazy life! lol.

5? back to back? holy moly. talk about crazy timing on that. You can always call it research for your own wedding - what you do and don't want to include.

Ladies I am 7 WEEKS until my wedding.  I am eating breathing and living wedding planning every day.  This is in between trying to do my job in medical sales.  I am focusing in on the all of the "details" such as how I want the table to look, how I want my flowers to look, music, etc.  It is really getting down to the wire here.  I am trying to fit some yoga in every couple of days to help me relax.  I know that in the end it is all going to be worth it.  Good luck to all of you girls!

Oh! You just reminded me - I forgot that in between all of that, we went to the courthouse and got married!! It was fun, but really felt like a rehearsal for the "real" thing :-).

You're right, we got some great ideas from some of the weddings, so research it was :-)

We wish :-). There were three we couldn't go to this year, so we totally understand not everyone being able to come to ours!

You can get quotes from the traditional shippers like UPS, FedEx and DHL, but I think your best bet may be to work with an importer/exporter. I know when I checked rates to ship a decent sized box to Mexico, it was around $500. yeah, I'll just check a couple of extra pieces of luggage..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
