November 2012 Brides?

late breaking news...my sister has decided it isn't practical for them to go to Mexico for the wedding. so it looks like I'll be an EDR bride!! 

 

will be working with our TA to firm up prices and dates, then moving forward with our Save-the-Dates and website. bittersweet of course, I'd rather have my sister there. but it is what it is, and we'll be getting married regardless!

Love that resort!!!  I would be there with u if I didn't have kids coming!!   The have the nicest ceremony sites 

 

My Christmas was great my fiancé got me the PINK kitchen aid mixer!!!   I'm in love!  I thought that it was going to be shitty not able to eat but my family has been so great to cook things for me, that it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be!!   Im telling u that this is defenately the most effective way to lose your pre wedding weight lol!!

Ohhh the kitchen aid mixer. are you a big baker?? I've thought about those, but decided I probably wouldn't use it enough. 

 

Our Christmas was good - my FI surprised me and got me an iPad. I've coveted one since they came out, but just couldn't pull the trigger. Just savoring the last bit of the holidays. We're both off tomorrow, and planning to go to a basketball game tomorrow night. 

 

We have picked our date, and are just waiting to confirm it with EDR. Should get all of that tied up next week!!!

vent alert: so I went to my sergon today an the dr told me that the list for surgey is 2-3months long   I was so mad that I started crying and so he put me on a on call list incase there's a cancelation.  He said that he hopes to have me in by the end of January.  So let's hope!!

Ijust feel like I'm suppose to be focusing on fun wedding stuff not worrying about having a pain attack and how bad my scars are going to be For my beach wedding

I'm 303 days... and was working on our website earlier. Had typed out all sorts of FAQs and then lost it. grrrrrrr 

 

Our invite list is at 60. I'm really, really hoping only 20-30 end up going. Otherwise it's going to be way more expensive than I was planning on! Have also been talking with my friend who's a photographer to get a quote and see if we can afford to have her shoot our wedding. So things are moving along. 

 

it totally sucks that you'll have to wait that long for surgery. I guess no country really has healthcare figured out... I'm crossing my fingers that there's a cancellation and they get you in sooner. And NO PAIN ATTACKS ALLOWED, ok?

YES NO MORE ATTACKS!!! I think that I will be ok because I am just eating every bland food. But the good news is that I got a date and its in 17sleeps!!! I am very happy that it's this month!! I guess it really helped that I cried:) I'm so excited that you have your wedding coming along! I feel like I am stuck In hole and can't get out....

ah yes, the tears. sometimes you just have to pull them out!!! glad you got a date, and this month!! I have a feeling that once your surgery & recovery is behind you, you'll be able to focus 100% on wedding planning. hang in there girl.

Hey questions

 

Have you asked your ladies to be bridesmaids yet???   How did you / or are you going to do it????

 

One of my to be Bridemaids just got prego so i don't think she will be coming but i really want her to be part of the planning process so i think i am going to ask her to be a bridesmaid /honnorary one anyways!!! 

 

I am thinking about getting some " will you be my bridesmaid?" Cards and do flowers?  or maybe make the cards!

 

What do you think?

I dont think I will have any official bridesmaids. My fi doesn't think any of his friends will go so he won't have any groomsmen. I like equal...so there you go. 

 

I will ask a couple of my closest friends to get ready with me in addition to my mom and be sort of "unofficial" bridesmaids. I am thinking about making some sort of card to send them to ask.

Well our bookings are open, and we should know who's going (or at least the majority) by 1/25. I'm both nervous and excited!! 

 

We've put our own deposit down for the rooms. Need to get the wedding deposit down too. It's all starting to really move!! 

 

Your surgery is this week, right?? Hoping for a fast and easy surgery, and a quick recovery too.
