Loving their site and that they do cool pinatas!  I can't find their prices.. do you have an estimate?

We just used maracas Mexico also for our wedding in September and it was $200 for 20 maracas. It was like $5.50 each and there was a shipping cost. They were so responsive and I was a bit nervous at first because they had me send the money through western union but they were perfect!! Very easy to work with. I contacted them originally in feb, but fell out of communication until the beginning of august.

I found my emails with them. We paid $550 total. I'm not sure if it mattered, but our maracas were different colors and we had designs on them in addition to names, date and location. Not going to lie, like @@vanessajfelice said, sending them the money through Western Union felt a little shady. Even the reps at Western Union will advise you against it, but we took a change and they were totally legit.

I'm getting married there in April 2017. We are planning on using the resort photographers as well, so i would love to check out your pics. How can I find you on FB? Sorry I sound creepy lol

@@malloryelizabeth I used the resort photographer and upgraded to the 6 hour package with 2 photographers and a videographer. I was happy with them! If you want you can request me on Facebook- I posted an album with a lot of their photos.

Hey ladies!

I am getting to crunch time with the wedding being 85 days away.  EEK!!! We are definitely doing the beach gazebo for the wedding and we really want Oregano for the reception.  What is a good place for cocktail hour so the guests don't have to walk down to Los Olas then back up to Oregano (we have some older people)?  They didn't give us any option, just that our coordinator would tell us after we select the location.

Also, did Oregano need lighting?  It is a restaurant so I didn't think it would?

Thank you all for your help, you have been so awesome!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations:) My wedding is about 50 days away.. woohoo!

Las Olas is in between the beach gazebo and Oregano, so it shouldn't be any extra steps for your guests. I would also suggest X-Lounge or the beach by Oregano. Those were at least the two locations that Ariana recommended to me. I am doing my wedding at the beach gazebo, cocktail hour on the beach by Oregano, and reception at the Grill.

I don't think that Oregano would need any extra lighting because I believe it is open at night (the website or WP should be able to confirm). I think that Las Olas and the Beach are really the only places that need extra lighting for events like this.

Hello!  :D Just confirmed our wedding at Excellence Riviera Cancun! I loved reading through these past posts and I'm getting super excited! I found the gold package brochure in one of the past posts, does anyone have the brochure for the A La Carte services??? I think we're going to build a little from here or there!

I look forward to hearing about everyone's big days and seeing all of the pictures!

Is anyone willing to share what you included in the "welcome letter/itinerary" ? I'm thinking something very simple such as timeline of wedding events along with some general information about the resort. I would like to include info about non-resort activity options.

@@mam9p8 Sorry for the delayed reply! Things have been a bit hectic since getting back (always is after a vacation right)!  I wish I had better pictures at this point that show everything but I haven't gotten my professional pictures back yet :(  First, I loved Oregano's for my reception! It was the perfect location.

For cocktail hour, I'd recommend the beach area outside Oreganos. I was honestly pretty disappointed in the cocktail hour at Las Olas. I expected a bar set up and an appetizer table but they didn't do any of that and it was pretty awkward. I think they came around and took drink orders and maybe passed some appetizers?? We showed up at the tail end and they had already started packing up, which I was annoyed about. They should have told the guests to go to the reception before they started to pack up. But I think this would have been a lot better and more organic at the beach location.

Also, I brought my own string lights to the Oregano's restaurant and I think they added a lot of atmosphere so I recommend. Also, the DJ's lights were really awesome and added a lot. I highly recommend the DJ. How many guests do you have?

I'll post my full review soon but attached are a couple pictures. Like I said they are not the best but I tried to find some that gave you a sense of Oreganos.

[i'm not sure if my pictures are posting properly!]

The Ceremony: I added two flowers arrangements on the shepherd hooks at the entrance. post-285467-0-16722800-1487109827_thumb.jpg

The Ceremony: I also upgraded the chairs which I think looked a lot better and made a big impact on the overall feel.

Cocktail Hour musicians (these guys left early. I wish I would have specified that I'd rather them arrive late and stay until the end than leave early)

FLOWERS: I got single stem king protea's for the bridesmaids and loved them! I sent in a picture of my bouquet and thought I could just pay the difference in price between what was included in the package and the picture I sent, but it wasn't until I got there that I found out I can't do that and had to pay full price.

Oregano's outside (from beach) looking in. The DJ lights were great!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
