i would probably change the color of the tie to match the girls dresses

@@Giocivs88 love that look!! Where is the dress from? Are you concerned that the men will be hot ?? I'm getting married July 6 and I'd like the men to wear chinos and a long sleeve button down - but I don't want them to hate me :)

Can someone remind me how long the walk down the isle on the beach (to the gazebo) is? I believe brides have said a 1 minute walk? I'm trying to coordinate my ceremony music.

@TA Wendy - We did not book a swim-up room, but we are in the Excellence Club. We had a swim-up room on our recent trip to Cozumel and we literally only used it once the whole week. We tend to be beach bums on vacation, but I'm sure we'll inquire about room upgrade options when we arrive (as we usually do). :)

@@SusanMarie813 - We'll be using Juan Navarro. After reading through this thread, reading other reviews and looking at their work, we decided we did not want to use Beach Wedding Studio as our primary photographer. We will probably use that part of our package for our welcome party instead of the wedding.

@TA Wendy- We booked the 2 story rooftop terrace room.  Originally we were going to go with the swim up room but I know we will get plenty of use out of that rooftop during after the wedding!

@Susanmarie813-We are using Juan Navarro too.  I loved his pictures, pricing was extremely reasonable and very helpful  I read mixed reviews about Beach Studios and wasn't able to see enough of their work to feel confident enough to hire them.

@TA Wendy - We chose the EC ocean view, although we may be upgraded when we check in. A few of our friends are doing the swim out and I'm sure they will love it!

@@SusanMarie813 - we are also using Juan Navarro. When are you getting married? @@Sabes44 and @@JenniferH114 - how much direction are you planning on giving Juan re photos? Are there certain pics or a style you want, or are you letting him do his thing? Is anyone doing a trash the dress session at cenote? I'm tempted - what a cool experience.

Has anyone heard back from Jessica about dancing options late night? I know the dance club was replaced by the sports bar - just wondering if they have music there?

@upstatekj-we are getting married on May 29th!  I have already given him some direction on what we like and want for pictures.  But I also want to trust him enough to do his thing, cause a good photographer can get amazing shots that way.

We are doing the centote session!  At first I didn't want to do a trash the dress, but when we were looking at his pictures, my fiance just loved those pictures so we booked that too.  They are amazing pictures you can't get anywhere else.  So I figured why not, fingers crossed I don't freak out under water!

Jessica just told me that the disco is now a sports bar but that and Kafe bar are open till 1am.  So I am not really sure about dancing, she didn't really say unfortunately.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
