Has anyone heard from Ariana in the past few weeks? She is my coordinator and has not responded to my emails since early March. Trying to be patient but now I'm worried that she's left and my emails are just going into the abyss...

I was just about to send another email! We had a conference call about 2 weeks ago and i asked a million questions. She said she would send me an email with all of the information that I asked for and she never did. I sent a follow up email a few days ago asking what was taking so long and nothing... not good.

I think it might also depend on how soon your wedding is. She has been very responsive to me in the last few weeks - usually responding to emails within 2-3 days. My wedding is in 2 weeks though, so she seems to be more responsive now than she was a few months ago. If it's been longer than 2 weeks, you should maybe just try sending her a follow up/reminder email just in case the email fell off her radar. Ariana is still around - she emailed me yesterday, but it's been frustrating communicating over the last year! :(

My wedding is in 3 weeks, and I emailed my coordinator 2 weeks ago to finalize things and haven't heard back yet. I emailed again yesterday, so I'll see when I get a response.

@@Liz6217 since you're wedding is in 2 weeks, when did you finalize all the details? I don't really have much confirmed, which is partially my own fault cause I just don't know what I'm supposed to do. When I asked, they said I should wait until I get my group concessions to figure out the additional happy hour. We've got 60 guests coming, so making sure they've booked rooms and flights has been my biggest concern. I've got photography set with the studio in house, decorations with Alquimia, but that's about it.

So my email I sent detailed everything else I could think of, like food, cake, flowers, etc. But I don't know if I'm missing something. In my mind I know it will all work out, but I also want to make sure I'm doing what I'm supposed to.

Any one have any advice they can share?

@@kelsieprice I am only about 10 days away from the wedding and still don't have everything finalized! lol. I am trying not to stress about it... I did wait to send the Final Decisions form to Ariana until about 3 weeks out because guests were still booking rooms! Ugh. So Ariana has sent me a final spreadsheet/chart with all the details, but I sent her a couple additional requests and she hasn't gotten back to me yet. We'll see I guess. Sounds like you have most everything figured out too.

I know other brides have said once you get down there and meet with the WC, you can make some changes and finalize everything again.

Thank you so much @@Liz6217! It is helpful to know that this is somewhat normal. I guess now my concern is that I want to make a Welcome Packet and Schedule for my guests, but I don't necessarily know where things like our welcome party or rehearsal dinner will be. I'll fill that in by hand maybe lol

@@kelsieprice yeah, that is the bummer about not knowing your exact schedule/locations for things. Maybe she can finalize them with you before you leave and you could still have time to print them out? Or, like you said, you may end up just filling it in by hand lol. When is your wedding date?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
