@@vanessajfelice Small world!! We moved from St. Charles to Sycamore about two years ago and work in Schaumburg. I grew up in Dallas and would love to get back there eventually!

We are there the 14th-21st, but we are thinking of changing our return date to the 23rd, just need to talk to our TA. We are counting down the days anxiously!! Have you gotten your dress yet?

For the extras lights, definitely get a quote sooner rather than later. I know others were quoted $220 about a year ago for lights but when I asked for the extras decor brochure, the lanterns are $348 per strand and the light bulbs are $232 per strand, and there are only 20 per strand so you will need multiple strands! Here's a link to the extras brochure: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_zoyOhoKIAhUHVpZGhIRHlNZGs/view?usp=sharing

We sent STDs about a year in advance but no one was really ready to book that early. I'm planning on doing invites approx 7 months in advance with a 3 month RSVP deadline. I'm supposed to get final numbers and stuff to the resort 2 months ahead, so I figured that gives me a month to track people down that don't RSVP.

@@kjb0528 Thamara just quoted me last week $220 for the lighting package for Las Olas. I think we are going without it though.

Finally ordered invitations! I had a designer design them and now I need to send them off to the printer! Sunday we shop for MOH and BM dresses....yeah!!!

Hey ladies!

I hope you all had a great valentines day! We booked our photographer, and ended up going with Melissa Mercado. She seems awesome, and super sweet!

For the summer weddings what are you ladies having the groom/groomsmen wear? I've been stuck on this, I don't want them to be too hot!

I was thinking of having them wear a dark blue/ or a light grey..... Color suggestions?

This is my dress, and the bridesmaid dresses are a petal color.. if only I could figure out what the boys are going to wear! :)

Your dress is stunning!! I love that. We are getting married in April, my fiancé is wearing a very light grey suit by Calvin Klein, we're still unsure about shoes right now but he felt like that wouldn't be too hot as the material was very thin!

@@victoriasalv thanks! :) I love the light grey especially on a beach! Are you having them do your hair? I was looking online last night and came across the styling trio.. They come to the resort for hair and makeup. I emailed them waiting on them to get back to me with prices. Just stinks that it would be another vendor fee!

@@KeriT21 I thought so too! I like the way it pops agsinst the sand. Shoes are a struggle though. So far..

Yes! They are doing my hair and makeup, I'm doing the Gold package so it's included. Which package are you guys doing? From what i've read on here and tons of other reviews the people at the spa do fantastic jobs. My friends/mom are getting their hair done as well that day.

@@victoriasalv as you are a bride getting married the soonest then I can't wait for you to report back more information but more importantly see you pics.

My H2B isn't wearing a suit as I think it will be too hot for him by the time 4th Aug arrives so he's got a lovely pair of Armani moccasin shoes, very lightweight light brown Hugo Boss trousers and a white Hugo Boss shirt.

3 weeks today I am going to start looking at some dresses but me and my Mom are going to a wedding show this weekend.

I'm having my hair and make up done by the spa as mine is included in my Excellence Love Wedding package and the fee's are reasonable for my Mom to have her hair and make up done as well at the same time as me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
