@@Giocivs88 - Yeah :( I was emailing with her too a couple weeks ago and then it went radio silent. When I checked in again was when Maribel told me. I'm trying not to worry about it too much. I had just herad such good things. but Maribel was sweet and assured me she had worked for the company for 3 years so I was in excellent hands. I'm so early in the planning process so I suppose better now than later!

I shared a link with you on Facebook. It's the album from my custom design on the Maracas Mexico Facebook page. You can see the designs up close there.

I made my appointment with the spa through email. I did have a 5pm ceremony.

  • 4 weeks later...

It's been pretty quiet around here! Just curious where everyone is with their planning.

We are officially under a year now so I feel like I should be doing something at this point....

@@JaimeCKL You're right! I'm glad i'm not alone. haha

We are almost at the seven month mark i can't believe it's coming so fast. I feel the same way I feel i'm like what more can i do ahead of time. Right now i'm focusing on welcome bags (so it doesn't all hit me at once) and invites. We are trying to get them out before the holidays. That might be a tad early but i don't want to wait until AFTER the holidays.

I've been emailing with Maribel. She really seems on top of it. Thankfully I wasn't fully planned yet with Jessica, so I didn't feel like i had to 'start over' with someone. I'm sure they know what they're doing so I'm not worrying about it!!

Biggest concern right now is RSVP cards, i need to narrow down an entree and put something i guess about food allergies? Maribel sent me a vegetarian option i can add on too. Decisions.. decisions. How are things on your end!!

I am trying to create a "timeline" to do things and I am lost. I also want to get the welcome bags done ASAP. I created a list of what I would like bought/created for the bags themselves and would like to focus one item a month....silly I know, but I handle things best when in small tasks.

People are starting to book now for the wedding and for some reason that both excites and frightens me. There's no going back now!!  ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
