Thank you!! We are so happy with the outcome. I've gotten teary eyed a few times already from looking at them. Juan obviously chose the sampling for his website, but there are definitely even better ones in full set that he sent to us. I ended up uploading over 350 of the photos to Facebook to share with family and friends because I love that many of them, which is a good thing! I just can't say enough wonderful things about Juan and Arturo.

@@Giocivs88 I meant to ask, I know you said you loved the DJ which is great news. How was he/she on song selections. Did you pick songs or give him a list before you arrived? Not sure how that works out of the country...

I know you need to provide a playlist/music for the wedding.

@@victoriasalv - We used DJ Mannia and they were so great!! I emailed them months ahead of time and they sent me a questionnaire regarding the music and things we have planned (entrances, dances, etc.). We were beyond happy with them, and they followed our music selection the entire night. I simply requested top 40/upbeat dance music and said no classic rock or "oldies" and all the played was fun, upbeat music - even some old school dance/rap songs from the 90's. We didn't give a specific song list. Everyone loved the music. It was exactly what we were looking for, and it worked well for our group. (Of course everyone has different taste in music, but you can request whatever you want.) I do not care for the cliché wedding reception songs (e.g. Come On Eileen, Brown Eyed Girl, etc.); they listened to my request and didn't play any of those. The DJs were so nice, too.

@@victoriasalv yes jennifer is right, they send you a questionnaire based on what songs you want for traditional stuff like bridal party entrance, father daughter dance, first dance, cake cutting song, garter toss song etc....i also gave them a list of must play songs and they played all of them and based on that genre they played everything else. honestly they were amazing especially the MC. you will love them

Thanks girls that's awesome! Very helpful and good to know. Sounds like I made a great choice choosing a DJ! :)

For the ceremony...did Jessica tell you how many songs to have for "before/during/after" the ceremony? I've been slowly gathering some on my iphone. haha

@@victoriasalv i chose "marry me" by the train for the walk down to the altar and that lasted long enough for all 5 bridesmaidand all 7 groomsman that walked down, the groom and the 2 best men were waiting up there ....and for the way back i chose "tenerife sea" by Ed Sheeran. i had them both on my phone which i gave to jessica before walking down, and she kept it safe till the reception lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
