The Mexican theme is only for our welcome party. Our wedding theme is just a beach theme. Here is what we are doing for centerpieces (my mom is putting them together).

And then cake...our colors are a deep/bright pink and turquoise... (this is also being put together by my mom).

We are also ordering custom maracas in our colors with starfish on them and names/dates/location. We have small white starfish to lay around the table and then we'll be having menus printed.

Cute!

I think the picture with the lights didn't work. Can you try posting it again? I don't think I got a pic like that from Jessica. $60 isn't bad, in my opinion. Maybe it is $60 and she just didn't mention that. Anything we don't have to bring is a plus to me!!

@JennferH1114  so how are you bringing down all the vases for your centrepieces? And how is your mom able to make your wedding cake at the resort? I'm obviously missing something.

Can you see it now?  $60 is not bad at all!  I think it adds to the ambiance.

I still can't see it. Maybe it's my computer. The other picture you posted worked. :(

@@hapykat - Sorry, my mom is not making the cake! She made and/or ordered all of the items to decorate it and then she'll be bringing graham cracker to crush up as the sand. So, our cake won't end up being turquoise but the decorations will be on it.

We are renting the vases for the centerpieces and bringing everything else ourselves. The resort has practically identical vases of different sizes that you can rent for $4 each. Jessica said they have a lot of items like that, you just have to ask and there's usually a small fee.

@@hapykat - No, but that would be funny! I'm going to give everything to Jessica with a picture so they can *hopefully* replicate as best they can.

Yes, Jessica sent me pictures of the vases. I'll dig them up.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
