Do they offer a vegetarian option?

Yes!  They do offer veg option and Jessica said that they can accommodate dietary restrictions if needed.  I am not sure what the veg options are though.  I have two guests who are vegetarian but when I asked them if they wanted me to look into it they both thought that the mahi mahi and chicken entree looked like a feast and they are both going to cheat a little that night!

Jessica just confirmed that we can choose two entrées for the guests to choose from, but the rest of the menu stays the same for everyone (which is fine for us). I have not asked about whether or not I can mix up the entrée options. I don't really care for any of them "as-is." (We are doing the gold package, but I've look at both the gold and silver menus.) I'd like to do steak and shrimp (instead of scallops) and chicken (instead of pork) and fish. The veggies and potatoes are fine, too. I'm hoping she will work with us on that!

As it was previously mentioned, she will need a final count of the entrées one month in advance and we will need palce cards so the servers know who is getting what.

Does anyone know how many people can fit comfortably at the X Lounge? I've seen some pics with couches and chairs and wondering if it would work for our welcome party (of about 35 guests)?

thank you!

Is anyone doing their reception at Las Olas??  I didn't realize all the options till Jessica just sent them to me.  Since we don't think we are going to get a DJ (just go to the disco or bar after) this might be the perfect option.  Causal, on the beach, but not totally in the sand and completely unique to the destination!

@@Sabes44, we are having our cocktail hour at Las Olas - and, if the Lobster House isn't available, we'll hold the reception there, too. I've heard great things about it - it's perfect for a reception! and the ocean breeze helps so much!

I agree about the breeze @@upstatekj!  I wanted to go with the Lobster House, but it might not be available and I am not sure if we will end up with 35 guests.  But I think Las Olas might be a better fit.   Which package are you going with?

@@HNeal - your wedding is so soon!!! how are you feeling? have you been confirmed for the lobster house for your reception??

Yes!  I have the Lobster House!  I am so excited about that.  I cannot believe I am only a few weeks away.  I am feeling good and like everything is in order.  I asked Jessica to send me a list of all the details and the total cost and she sent back an easy to read chart of every single detail.  It totally reassured me about how organized she has been through this process.

I am having my cocktail hour at Las Olas.  I think the reception would be gorgeous there as well.  I saw pics of a reception at Las Olas and it looked so pretty in the dark with the lights strung up.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
